Egyptian Armed Forces

Why would Egypt contract Hawkeyes that’s not of the d model? Especially since we are now moving away from American aircrafts with procurements with Chinese 4.5 and 5th gen crafts in the future? The Chinese alternatives are of a better deal if you ask me. Those f16s won’t stay for much in service even if they’re upgradable. It just doesn’t make sense. Only way for it to make sense is to have both e2’s operating with western aircraft. And kj’s with eastern Russian and Chinese aircrafts.
I'm talking about two different things. The first is the timing of the second replacement. It is related to the fact that when Egypt replaces it, it will replace it with an aircraft with higher specifications. It is not normal for Nasr to contract for an early warning aircraft with lower capabilities in terms of target detection, range, or commanding formations of aircraft. It should be more than 100 aircraft. This is what made me, from the beginning, consider the Chinese KJ-500 aircraft to be less than the capabilities that Egypt is targeting. Even the Chinese KJ-600 aircraft suffer from modest capabilities compared to the old American version, the E-2C Hawkeye 2000. I ignore the fact that Egypt did not obtain the E-2D version. In the end, these are requirements, and it is not normal for me to obtain a new early warning aircraft with less capabilities than a 40-year-old aircraft. No, when some were talking about China’s permission or not, this matter was not of interest to us, because historically, the reason Egypt did not purchase Chinese fighters was that they were less capable than the American aircraft, and when China provided aircraft with suitable specifications, it found Egyptian interest in it, which applies to all types of armament.

Lieutenant-General Khalifa and his delegation received an official reception, which included a guard of honour review and military bands playing both countries' national anthems.

The Egyptian military spokesman stated Saturday that the visit is in light of military cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two nations' armed forces.

Khalifa underscored the deep relationship between Egypt and France, expressing his desire to broaden cooperation and partnership across various military sectors.

For his part, Burkhard praised Egypt's pivotal role in supporting the pillars of security and stability in the Middle East.

Additionally, he stressed his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral military relations to serve the common interests of both sides.

During the visit, both chiefs of staff inspected the French Joint Operations Centre and the Space Command Centre.

They received a briefing on both centres' operational methods, which ensure continuous control and coordination among the various branches of the French Armed Forces.

The French chief of staff also accompanied Lieutenant General Khalifa to a French military base, where they observed training activities featuring the latest French tanks, armoured combat vehicles, and unmanned aerial vehicles, all of which use advanced technological systems.

At the end of the tour, the Egyptian chief of staff commended the high standard of training, noting its contribution to the French Armed Forces' combat efficiency and its role in strengthening military cooperation between Egypt and France.

Comment: The visit of the Egyptian Chief of Staff to France. The visit was certainly also related to the Rafale fighters and the Egyptian demands. The words are indicative of the French move. France itself is in a ball with Germany. A tank on the Leopard 2 chassis. The problems of the French tank in the war in Yemen and Saudi Arabia and its poor performance make it a bad choice.

The commander of the Egyptian Air Force indicates a shift in the interest in the Chinese plane J-35

During the recent joint air exercises in Egypt, it was reported that a high-ranking official in the Egyptian Air Force expressed great interest in the J-35 Chinese stealth fighter, indicating a possible shift in the military purchasing strategy in Cairo.

The announced of the interest in the J-35 plane, a fifth-generation stealth fighter developed by the Chinese Chinyang company for aircraft, drew attention due to its ability to reshape the capabilities of the Egyptian Air Force.

The J-35 is usually known as FC-31 Gyrfalcon in its export design, and is designed to compete with advanced platforms such as the American F-35 Lightning II and Russian SU-57.

The plane is characterized by its dual-engine design, and its stealth characteristics that make it difficult to detect, and its AESA radar, enabling it to track multiple targets with high accuracy.. Its sensors include advanced flight electronics for a network war, allowing integration with other equipment such as drones and early warning systems.

Egypt has HQ-9B?

What’s confusing is Cairo Military is that they’re considering the J-10C when they already have a fleet of Rafales-3 with no Meteors ( PAF humiliated Rafale fighter and its legendary Meteor) and I believe yours have half range Scalp-Egs might as well be sitting ducks. Ditch the expensive Rafale future orders. And go for J10C with full package.

Egypt has a policy of openness to protecting its interests in Africa. Consequently, Egypt's arms policy has changed, leading to the expansion of the Egyptian Air Force.
Rafale fighter jets: Egyptian plans require no less than 84 aircraft, but even when fully implemented, they do not fully meet the Egyptian Air Force's needs. There is a need for tactical fighters and long-range air superiority fighters, which prompted Egypt to previously request SU-35 fighters and plan to purchase SU-57s. We previously reviewed Israeli information on previous Egyptian Air Force plans.
After the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and we prefer the Russians to develop fighter jets for Egypt according to Egyptian requirements, Egypt opened channels of communication with countries such as China and South Korea to discuss supplying fighter jets to Egypt. We will later present a Chinese article that follows this framework, published last week. Egypt has a military presence in more than one African country, developing facilities to develop air weapons for African countries and rebuilding air weapons in countries such as Somalia and Eritrea, which requires local production of fighter jets and expanding capabilities. Egyptian Air Force Since 2013, Egypt has developed more than 25 air bases, including no less than 10 new airports and 15 airports out of 40 airports and air bases previously. Simply put, expanding airports means expanding the number of aircraft that will be operated, especially since Egypt faces threats to the Nile waters, threats of Palestinian displacement, and threats of the collapse of states in Sudan, Libya, and Somalia. All of these forces force Egypt to reposition its forces and international deployment, with the presence of international competition and Israeli and Turkish attempts to expand in Africa, which makes Egypt redraw the military power in the Middle East and Africa.

A Chinese article reveals the situation and China's shift to Egypt in cooperation programs to protect its investments. It also reveals China's role in manufacturing weapons in Egypt for export to Africa. This is the same policy Egypt announced to the Koreans and French. The Chinese explain that they have established a drone factory that produces 12 drones per week. It is believed to be responsible for supplying Wing Loong 1/2/3 WJ-700 drones, for which Egypt has contracted large quantities, as well as for supplying them to African countries. Egypt has military ties with 25 African countries and is rebuilding some African armies. The article also clarifies an unspoken point: European plans to invest $300 billion in Africa, in which Egypt was supposed to play an active role, were not implemented. China chose Egypt as an alternative to Iran and to protect its trade, which passes through the Suez Canal. This is similar to how the Russians supplied fighter jets to Egypt to protect the Dabaa nuclear facilities previously. The Chinese article indicates growing military relations, or that there are already deals. A deal worth $3.5 billion has already been signed.

China prefers to support Egypt and ignores the "admiration" of Iran? It turned out to be right.

Strategic change over the pyramids
The moment the J-10 fighter jet swept over the Pyramids of Giza, a Chinese red flashed on the radar screen of the Egyptian air base. This symbolic image accidentally unveils the bottom line of the geopolitical game in the Middle East, when China chose to sign a $3.5 billion military cooperation agreement with Egypt when the global spotlight was on Iran’s nuclear talks. The Suez Canal Authority shipping data show that the value of Chinese goods through this channel in 2023 exceeded 210 billion US dollars, and this waterway carries not only containers, but also the global artery of a rising power.
Geopolitical pricing logic

The new Sino-Egyptian Joint Control Center on the streets of Cairo has a strategic value comparable to that of an aircraft carrier battle group in the Persian Gulf. The latest report by the Central Bank of Egypt reveals that the Suez Canal revenues already account for 12% of the country’s GDP, while Chinese cargo ships contribute 38% of transit. This economic bonding has a multiplier effect on Egypt’s military value – controlling the canal is equivalent to mastering the 7.3% regulatory valve of global trade, which is the core algorithm that Beijing chooses Egypt over Tehran.

In a sandbox drill at the Institute of Geosciences at the University of Tehran, the Iranian missile force’s deterrence coefficient for Israel has fallen from 0.87 in 2015 to 0.63 in 2023. This strategic option devaluation stems from an increase in political entropy within it: news of seven secret visits by the Khamenei medical team to Zurich exposes deep anxiety over power transfer. In contrast, in Cairo, the Sisi government announced the progress of the construction of the new administrative capital with Chinese capital participation to specific floors, and this certain premium is the hard currency in the game of major countries.

Replacement of functions on the chessboard

The Middle East chess game is undergoing a dramatic reconfiguration of its role. Russia’s delivery of S-400 systems to Iran is deployed in the Strait of Hormuz,

w
hile China’s drone production line on the Red Sea coast has achieved a capacity of 12 per week.

This division of labor coincides with the ancient Silk Road's "womb team and dart" model - Moscow provides a security shield, Beijing lays the economic track. While Saudi Arabia’s silent hunter laser defense system introduced from China intercepts Yemeni missiles, Tehran’s meteor missiles are still relying on 1997 guidance chips.

The military game at the Cairo Military Academy exposes the dilemma: 70% of the components of Egypt’s F-16 fleet are dependent on U.S. supplies, while

China’s J-10C production line contains 82 percent of the technology transfer terms. This alternative collaboration is reshaping the regional balance

of
power, like the Chinese turbine group on the Nile Dam, which both generates electricity and regulates the political water levels upstream and downstream.
Tomorrow's Battle on Both Sides of the Canal

At the container terminal in Alexandria, the gantry hoisting of "Zhenhua Heavy Industry" is hoisting the fifth-generation early warning radar component. The equipment will form a network of desert eagle reconnaissance satellites jointly developed with China and Egypt, and its monitoring range covers the Sinai Peninsula to the Gaza Strip. This precise layout hides the mysterious opportunity: when the Israeli armored forces are massed at the Rafah crossing, the Chinese-made large screen of the Cairo combat headquarters shows the latitude and longitude coordinates of each Merkava tank in real time.

The U.S. Sixth Fleet Command's confidential assessment report pointed out that for every $100 million increase in China's infrastructure investment in Egypt, three new unknown sources of U.S. warships and ship transponders in the Red Sea Sea route will be added. This asymmetrical game is rewriting the rules — like the Chinese-aided Ramadan 10th Light Rail, ostensibly transporting passengers, is testing the limits of the Middle East’s security framework.

The New Silk Road in the Desert
When Dubai’s Burj Khalifa lights up the “Belt and Road” themed light show, the China Equilibrium Maintenance Center on the outskirts of Cairo is training the 47th batch of Egyptian technicians. This capacity-building is far more penetrating than arms transfers – like the satellite-testing and control stations that China helped Egypt build to track crop growth and calculate missile ballistics. The wisdom of this military-civilian integration is like the ancient Egyptians using the Nile meter to measure floods and boundaries at the same time.

On the other side of the Persian Gulf, the number of Chinese tankers at Iran’s Jasker port fell by 17 percent year-on-year, a change that is more telling than any diplomatic rhetoric. The balance of the Middle East strategy is undergoing a silent but deadly tilt, like the sand dunes moving in the Sahara desert, seemingly slow but irreversible.

The JC10c has passed the test of war. J10C superiority over your french and Russian fighters. It is no longer whether to use China jets , the questions should be for your military’s leadership now to cooperate further with China…the western and Russian dominance on the military equipment are diminishing very sharply this is the very reality that you guys and westerners hard to accept.. At least your enemy Israelis raised alarm on this China Jet .. Indians didn’t raise alarm and thought China PL15 and JC-10 BVR jet was a part tiger in Pakistan and their Rafale jets& mirage2000, Sukhoi su30 all upgraded with latest updates by France, Americans & Israelis these jets got burned.

The French investigation committee is likely to be linked to:

  • Technical tests or auditing Rafale fighter aircraft that have been delivered.
  • Check the compliance of the contract or the guarantee issues.
  • Investigations in the event of operational problems or misuse

A maneuver that was first to happen in history (almost a month)

Then a Chinese presidential visit

And talks about an unknown deal that has been signed for a while

The usual is that Eastern military deals of Egypt do not appear at all.. until we see them all of a sudden operating with The Egyptian armed forces..

A dispute between Sisi and Trump ... a mysterious visit to the President of China to Cairo .. Why did Egypt's media warn of a major event
