neither is good.Following options are in discussion or in negotiations..
- Z9Ds
- AW - 159
neither is good.
The 159 lacks endurance and payload
the Z9 is naturally inferior sensor wise to the 159.
the RN uses the 159 as the sensor and the 101 as the shooter. the ROKN had to procure a special variant which included sonar equip, but that killed endurance, 1 hour endurance with dipping sonar and 2 torpedos, its not great...

yes, i meant the other way around, the 159 is the shooter, the 101 the sensor- or the ship.Sorry, that is incorrect. RN defianetly uses Wildcat as a shooter two and invested a lot in this capability, RN Frigates and destroyers only carry one chopper....

The 159 does not carry any sonar equipment, only the SK version does.
nope, i am friends with a retired XO (SiC) from one of the TN's Ada class ships (tcg buykada)- we had this discussion and the size constraints arent an issue, the 101 is actually shorter than the mh60 its the weight which may be an issue though i dont recall him saying as such but it has an empty weight the same as the mh60's mtow lolKeeping in view the tonnage of our fleet (current & upcoming) falls in between 2k - 4.5k with not enough landing area hence can't accommodate heavy choppers.
Though French offers some good options but won't sale to PN, therefore the options are very limited.
Wildcat would be much better for anti-ship and anti-piracy but granted, it is no sub hunter
A139M with naval mods seems like a solid option too, or take PAF's CSAR config and navalise it.Wildcat would be much better for anti-ship and anti-piracy but granted, it is no sub hunter

or anywhere! there was no reason CAMM-ER could not have fulfilled the Tri Services MRSAM requirement, we could have even used this as a step with Italy to develop an even longer ranged variant, or possibly, an air to air variant, but nope, everyone went their own waysYeah, still shocking that there is so limited standardisation in helicopters across all Pak armed forces. At one point they all used Aloutte III, now everyone has gone their seperate paths.
Yeah, different type of SAM at all levels in all armed forces is shockingor anywhere! there was no reason CAMM-ER could not have fulfilled the Tri Services MRSAM requirement, we could have even used this as a step with Italy to develop an even longer ranged variant, or possibly, an air to air variant, but nope, everyone went their own ways
Sounds awfully like Fatah-2 or a further development of Fatah-2 (or 3 or 4).Pakistan's anti-ship ballistic missile P-282, which can reach hypersonic speeds, will add strategic importance to PN MİLGEM for Pakistan. Anti-ship ballistic missiles, which have a long range thanks to their high speed and are difficult to intercept due to their maneuverability, are suitable for attacking strategic elements on land as well as enemy ships.
As the choice of anti-ship ammunition, it can be considered that Pakistan's anti-ship ballistic missile P-282, which can reach hypersonic speeds, will add strategic importance to PN MİLGEM for Pakistan. Anti-ship ballistic missiles, which have a long range thanks to their high speed and are difficult to intercept due to their maneuverability, are suitable for attacking strategic elements on land as well as enemy ships. There are no images of P-282, which was made public in 2020.
