Why would they be with the jawans? They have a specific job to do, and doing ride alongs in the middle of nowhere isn't one of them

They need to implement long term.plans and policy, from bringing down Afghanistan, kicking out the U.S and NATO, defeating India in the recent conflict they have achieved reasonable results

They need to go harder against Afghan and some baloch areas , go full hostile against the enemy

Given how these ‘landlords’ treat the locals, do you really think this alone is enough?

Can’t focus solely on kinetic actions with so called ‘support from landlords’ when the landlords are part of the socio-economic issues in Balochistan.

We have to be Brutal like Turkey but precise, but who wanna bet that not one changes will be made after 9 soldiers loss, and within couple of weeks we will see yet another attack with similar numbers killed. PA after fighting 2 decades of insurgency is still noob, literally not a single major change in strategy is observed, incompetency is on par with IAF.

The terrain simply favors the insurgents. It’s huge with plenty of routes based on local knowledge and support.
Unless you go completely scorched earth and kill everything that isn’t on four legs and not wearing a uniform - there is no military solution to this.

Absolutely - but my point is that landlord support or not, you can’t defeat insurgencies without socio-economic development and growth and the larger population buying into the political and constitutional process.

I don't care how much of a loyalist boot licker you are sending soldiers to their demise without a fighting chance inside Toyota tin cans is murder.

Its actually FAILURE of strategy. The leadership is ALWAYS responsible for lives of our soldiers and citizens. Whether its negligence in providing proper gear, armoured vehicles OR failed strategy in dealing with the situation. In our country we don't have culture of taking responsibility and ownership. That's why all this keep happening.

ROE restrictions certainly embolden the facilitators who mock and interfere with patrols regularly and also do much needed recon, for the actual terrorists. These facilitators also provide refuge to the terrorists on the run after such ambushes and hide them behind their own women and children. If we break their doors down then again that Baloch group BS. We must talk from the barrel or butt of the gun and root out the facilitators. Raheel Sharif used to mention these, 'aiders, abetters, facilitators financiers and sympathizers'. I don't know if he had a plan for them as well. Any way water under the bridge.......
