Look at all the U.S assets in the region now, Bibi will be dumb to not utilize those, he doesnt want any deal or ceasefire, this is the best chance he has to go all in against Iran.

The second Bibi accepts ceasefire two things will happen

1) Israelis will call for new parliamentary elections (which he will surely lose)

2) Governmental AND criminal investigation in Israel (and possibly by the ICC) into his (and his cabinets) actions during the war and more importantly prior to 10/7 with epic intelligence failure to detect the attack/prevent it.

His political career at the very least is OVER! And he was already facing corruption and criminal charges long before 10/7 alongside his democracy destroying drive to change the constitution.

So if you are Bibi you need this war to go on long enough that people either:

A) Forget your incompetence for 10/7

B) Think you are the best leader for Israel and not any of the other potential competition

Not because US Army lacks firepower but because there is a real chance United States would have sealed its fait as a hegemon superpower.

War against Iran would divert tremendous resources away from more urgent needs like US infrastructure and the Indo-Pacific strategy aka containment of China.

With the US consumed with war with Iran, China would get «free pass» to replace the US as the biggest economic and Military power on Earth.

Thats why America hesistates.
