Egyptian Armed Forces

I agree, I like Egypt,
Egypt is vital for the middle east, if Egypt is strong then they have a guardian for the middle east

Rather then being constantly attacked to protect those evil little Zionists

The west and Russia were on the same page via and via Israel, that Israel is some holy cow that must be protected

The Jews had their tentacles in those countries elites

China is free , I'm sure Chinese don't hate Jews
But at the same time as a business minded people , the Chinese understand they can get more and better deals from a massive middle east compared to a tiny Israel

And when china sells you a platform, you can negotiate a good deal and proper support

All the west gave them was overpriced gimped weapons

Israel is pitting this Hodge podge of different platforms that don't really connect,, against a U.S supported Israel

It will end the same way as it did for the Indians

Egyptians need to streamline
Work out how everything connects and works together
Concentrate on EW and AWACs support
Get rid of a bunch of useless russian and western platforms

Work with chinax get a honest deal and access to weapons that will work when the time comes

The west just got a massive wake up call of what China has been able to achieve and they are worried

Most Chinese netizens have become strongly disdain toward Zionism after what happened in Gaza.

As for the weapon sale, China doesn't want to overpromise and underdeliver.

The systematic confrontation has become the soul of the modern warfare.

To be honest, the Rafale jets weren't that bad, but it simply got crushed in a systematic confrontation because India has not developed its own ecosystem nor it has been integrated with the ecosystem of other major powers like the US/Russia/EU.

Pakistan has fully integrated into China's ecosystem for the modern warfare, and Pakistan also has worked to integrate with other non-Chinese weapons from Turkey into it.

What Egypt can do is to integrate with the Chinese platform, and if Egypt wants to keep its Russian platform, then China can work on it as China is always familiar with the Russian weapons. However, most Russian weapons in Egypt's inventory are quite obsolete, and it is not worthy to waste money and time anymore.

I'm sure that Egypt's integration with China's ecosystem for the modern warfare should be suffice to protect the country from Israel's harassment.

Your not too bright are you? Ok I guess I have to do this.
You don’t just engage in aerial combat with your aircraft and formations and that’s it. Advanced air warfare incorporates active seeking and awareness as well as tracking and data transfer through complex systems to ensure kills. How do you lose some of the best aircrafts the way they did??? It heavily implies that iaf was either incompetent on their part, or they simply don’t have a networked system like how the paf has utilized and demonstrated its effectiveness. Combine that with missile tech that already outclasses the amraam D missile. AND an excellent marvel of Chinese aeronautic engineering such as the j10c.

French weapon stocks have taken a beating because of India’s poor usage of the rafale, not the jet having major problems themselves. I know damn well France was fuming due to Indian incompetence when that French official confirmed the downing of the rafale. Then 2 more casualties reported after that incident. Not only that but an iaf su30 and mig29 have both been downed as well. What does that tell you? Not a good look at all to say the least.

Arguably one of the biggest failures in modern air combat where state of the art tech is used for the first time.

IAF got crushed because of systematic warfare vs standalone weapons.

Most Indian pilots are familiar with Su-30 and Mig-29, maybe not with Rafale.

However, you cannot win the modern warfare without forming your systematic capability that links all the hardware together.

The Egyptian Air Force and the Chinese company "Katik" celebrate the passage of "45 years" for joint cooperation and the joining of the first combat aircraft from the company's production to the Egyptian Air Force

Lieutenant General Mahmoud Fouad Abdel -Gawad, commander of the Egyptian Air Force, indicated during the ceremony the depth of cooperation relations that bring together the Egyptian and Chinese Air Force in a way that benefits both sides, looking forward to witnessing more fruitful cooperation relations that contribute to upgrading the level of combat readiness of the Air Force and keeping pace with the huge technological development witnessed in the field of the aircraft industry continuously.

While the CEO of the Chinese company "Katik" delivered a speech in which he indicated the partnership relations that link the Egyptian Air Force to the Chinese side to strengthen the combat capabilities of the Air Force and prepare the climate to exchange experiences according to integrated scientific foundations that glorify the benefit of the human element and modern technological systems.

The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China also delivered a speech during which he expressed his appreciation to the Egyptian armed forces, and his country's keenness to open new horizons of cooperation with Egypt based on the historical record of the strategic partnership that links the two countries.

I was almost misled by you. There is no “Katik Company” in China.

It refers to “China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation.”, abbreviated as CATIC.
This is a company specially established by China to specialize in the export trade of military equipment. Note that it is only a trading company and does not design, develop or produce any weapons itself.

This company is responsible for the cooperation agreement between China and Pakistan on fighter jets. So, Pakistani military fans should hear about it often.

That’s why we have our own homegrown networked system called risc2, which was the upgraded to a more modern version titled risc3
From the bottom of my heart, I don't want to discourage you. I'm just trying to clear your head.

If your country had been able to independently develop its own military cyber system on its own, it would have been a world-class power long ago, and it would have been fully qualified to sit as a P5 country. Your country would have already had the ability to rule the Middle East a long time ago.

However, the reality is very harsh.

You try to learn more about the basics and you will realize that your claims will never come true.

A most simple truth.

You can now check which company provided the civilian communication/network system in Egypt? Check any telecom company's equipment and see which company's product it is.

How can a country that must rely on foreign suppliers for even the backbone of the country's communications network build its own military network system independently?

Of course, China has foreign trade versions of its military network systems. We don't mind at all if you change the local name after purchase.

I get your point but ehhhhhh. Im gonna dispute that.

Perfecting networked systems takes alot of time and effort to get right, especially for a nation that’s just started to go its own way. Many nations have networked systems and experience on them yet they aren’t powerhouses to rule regions.

That’s what Kader factory and AOI are for. To start independence in weapons and equipment design and production. Every nation has started off like this one way or another to achieve military independence or even just partial independence.

Military network communication systems are identical to civilian network communication systems in terms of underlying communication architecture and principles. Their biggest difference is in the surface layer.
Military communication systems pay more attention to data encryption, anti-jamming, low latency, data stability and so on. Civilian communication systems pay more attention to data bandwidth.

1, the modern global communications industry, only in the hands of a few countries. Countries that can produce chips with core communication protocols are even fewer. If these chips are completely dependent on imports, it means that your military encrypted communication system can easily be accessed by others.

2, the communications industry involves a wide variety of equipment, it needs a huge and perfect electronics industry. Any one link is prone to the risk of leakage.

By quoting communication equipment and basic platforms from other countries and developing application platforms by ourselves, we can establish the so-called “independent communication system”. Of course, you can name it yourself and claim that it is completely self-developed. However, this approach can only barely enhance nationalism and is only for propaganda purposes without much practical significance.

1, the underlying equipment and communication network protocols are in the hands of other countries. If they want to invade/listen to your network, it is relatively easy. It is an open secret that the U.S. Intelligence Community mandates network equipment vendors to open “back doors” to the Intelligence Community, or allows them to set up “back doors”.

2, when you can not master the underlying architecture, only in the application level of independent development, you can get the underlying access is very limited. This will lead to a lot of “unexpected problems” in your communication system. In your actual use, will create a lot of problems.

So, it is wiser to:
1. Choose the hardest path and start from the bottom. It will take about 30 to 100 years with a collection of national forces.
2. Buy the finished product directly from a trusted partner country or ask them to customize it for you.

Currently, there are only three independent military cyber systems in the world. US, Russia, and China. Europe and many developed countries choose to use the US-led military cyber systems rather than develop their own independently.

A source in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the "Yediot Aharonot" website said that Cairo decided not to appoint a new ambassador to it in Tel Aviv after Israel announced its intention to expand the scope of fighting against Hamas in the Gaza Strip as part of the "Gideon Tanks" operation.

He also indicated that it was decided not to agree to grant the credentials of the Israeli ambassador to Egypt, Rotman, who was recently appointed to this position by the government, and who is still already in Israel.

CATIC.. is pronounced KATIK in English..

A small correction..most Russian weapons in possession of Egypt have been upgraded to modern standards.. so it will be easy to integrate them in a Chinese ecosystem if Egypt chose to..

This announced an unprecedented military pattern - the demilitarization of weak countries around the world.

This victory is not a military victory in essence, but a victory of overwhelming national strength. On the surface, it is the so-called shared data link
, systemized warfare
, and the technical victory over powerful independent weapon systems.

But if you think carefully about the technical premise behind this "shared data link" and "systemization" -

1) It requires at least a global precise positioning constellation

2) It requires at least a global communication constellation

3) It requires first-class electromagnetic, infrared, and optoelectronic reconnaissance and detection technology

, which means the independent production capacity of a large number of high-tech equipment

4) It requires independent and complete communication system research and development capabilities

5) It requires independent computing power infrastructure

6) It requires advanced and powerful industrial capabilities

7) It requires economic strength sufficient to support all of the above elements

If any of these conditions is missing, it is impossible to achieve "data link sharing" and "systemized warfare".

And with such a foundation, in addition to China and the United States, can Russia do it? Can Japan do it? Germany? France? Turkey? India? South Korea?

Who can do it? Who can expect to do it? Even if you try your best to jump and touch the net, what about next year? The year after? Five years later? Ten years later?

If Egypt only wants to buy a few J10C, J35, or J20 to achieve the same effect, forget it and don't dream.
It needs to introduce the entire system, but once the entire system is introduced, it will be a dimensionality suppression attack on surrounding opponents

All this can and is done on a regional level in the middle east.. China is doing it on a global scale..

Obviously, we are not talking about the same thing.
@royalharris has already elaborated on most of the contents of a complete communication system. You can think about it carefully.

I have no intention of elevating or devaluing any country. So, I don't want to comment too much on their military communication systems.

As for China.
Many years ago, the PLA R&D department developed a military computer operating system (KylinOS). At the same time, China independently developed and manufactured the "Loongson" CPU. From this, we built our own military computer system. Although it has many problems, we still insist on using it and continue to develop and upgrade it.
As for the communication field. I think this is a well-known story.
As for various satellites, data links, radar and reconnaissance systems, etc., you should all know the current situation in China.
Because of our great efforts on these basic platforms, we have built our independent military information network today.

This road cannot be achieved by purchasing weapons and equipment from all over the world.

There is a sentence in the study of US military tactical thinking.
Where am I? Where is the enemy? Where is my support/teammate?
This sentence seems simple. However, it is very, very difficult to achieve it. It can be clearly said that today's Russia cannot achieve this goal. Perhaps only China and the United States can achieve this goal.

The deal enters the final stages .. 100 Korean FA-50 aircraft are on its way to Egypt

View attachment 112890

Egypt entered the final stages of negotiations with South Korea to purchase up to 100 Korean Light-fighter/trainer Eagle aircraft ...

The deal is of 100 Korean aircraft between Egypt and South Korea
The proposed deal, which includes the element of technology transfer and local production of most aircrafts in Egypt, aims to update the Egyptian Air Force and expand its defensive industrial base. The acquisition plan also reflects the increasing strategic cooperation between Egypt and South Korea.

Egypt's ambassador to South Korea: Cairo is about to sign the contract
At the end of last month, the Egyptian Ambassador to South Korea, Khaled Abdel Rahman, stated in an interview with Yonhap News Agency that Cairo is about to sign a contract with the Korean Air Industries Company "Kai".

According to Defenceweb, the agreement includes up to 100 FA-50 aircraft and will start with an initial batch of 36 units, at a value of about one billion dollars.

About 70 aircrafts are expected to be assembled locally at the Egyptian Aircraft Factory in Helwan, according to an agreement signed in 2023 between Kai and the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

The FA-50, which shares about 70% of its components with the F-16, aims to replace Alpha Jets and K-8E ancient Egyptian training aircrafts..

It’s absolutely pathetic to see Egypt waste its next decade’s air force budget on this worthless junk. Not 24, not 36, but a hundred of them?! for real? ? There’s no doubt—this deal is stuffed with massive kickbacks for corrupt Egyptian officials. This so-called 'fighter' is a flying coffin, completely useless in modern air combat. If this plane participated in 5.7 air war, it’ll be nothing more than a target drone, obliterated at 150km away by a PL-15E before it even knows what hit it. What a disgrace!

Some people don't understand that the Egyptian command and control systems, designed in the early 1980s through Project 777, combined Western and Eastern systems. Therefore, Egypt has its own C5ISR fighter identification systems that are manufactured locally. Some see things from a system where every screw, every processor, and every part of these systems must be manufactured by you, or actually manufactured. The world essentially depends on production chains and also on the extent of your availability. The development of some countries, such as China, Japan, and South Korea, has provided Egypt with multiple resources. For example, the relationships between companies like Huawei and their acquisition of billions of civilian projects in Egypt are also linked to related military projects.

All arms suppliers want the communication, identification, and command and control systems to be subordinate to their camp. This is unacceptable. Egypt does not trust any single arms supplier at all. Simply put, what China is offering today, in a good manner and with favorable terms, was initially provided by the Soviet Union. Then, it sought to control Egyptian armaments, despite the fact that what it was offering was... The armament was not equivalent to what the West provided to Israel. Therefore, anyone who imagines that Egypt will rely on its command and control systems remains militarized and delusional. Even the results of the clashes between India and Pakistan do not give full confidence in Chinese weapons or Chinese tactics. Some still follow the Muslim Brotherhood's orbit, making Egypt an ally of Israel or working to protect it, despite the fact that all of these are lies. The truce between Egypt and Israel is a truce, and Israel does not see any enemy in the Islamic world other than Egypt, despite the outcry of some who have done nothing for Palestine except shout against Egypt. This always makes us place them on the list of rabble, scoundrels, and ignorant people, and their opinions are not taken seriously as long as they are driven by ideology and not facts. The ignorance of some of military history gives them stupid and ignorant judgments, such as Egypt's in the Battle of Mansoura, where 60 Egyptian fighters confronted 120 Israeli fighters equipped with BVR Phantom and Mirage 3 missiles. Egyptian fighters of the MIG-17 & MIG-21 models, there is absolutely no room for challenge, and yet Egypt won. Despite the Israeli electronic control, Egypt used tactics to overcome it, such as radar silence, which Pakistan implemented 50 years later in recent days. Therefore, some idiots think that they will give us lessons and pass on their dreams or even their desire to control the Egyptian armament or combat systems until Egypt becomes under their pressure. This is of course unacceptable. Why has Egypt been manufacturing C5ISR systems for years? Simply because it is fully aware of their importance. Some, if they apply some concepts or tactics, think that they are superior or that they are the master in this field due to lack of knowledge. Egypt’s radar network is complex and the largest compared to its area. There are more than 300 radars in the field of air defense from all international sources and all frequencies, in addition to its development of old systems and the manufacture of radars that fill the gaps locally. The same applies to air defense systems: 150 medium and long-range batteries and 300 short-range batteries. The range and 2,000 air defense guns, even laser defense systems have begun to enter service, and their deployment is not far off. Some do not understand that fighters are a platform used within a system that is deployed according to its capabilities. Some also do not understand that fighters are being developed every five years as a result of the acceleration of fighter development programs. This means that the temporary victories achieved by some, by way of snatching a victory, are not permanent. Rather, they increase the burden of maintaining superiority, which requires a lot of resources. Therefore, armament programs were implemented within sound plans that are being reviewed as a result of the recent Russian-Ukrainian wars and the experience of monitoring various conflicts, such as those of Israel and India-Pakistan. All of these are under surveillance, and Egypt therefore does not need radical adjustments to its plans, as some imagine. Chinese air platforms are improving, of course, and no one denies this, but they are also not the best. For example, the Chinese KJ-500 early warning aircraft. Do its capabilities match those of the E-2D systems in detecting and controlling large numbers of fighters and the true effective range, regardless of propaganda, or even compared to what will be in service, the E-7?
Defense Systems The Chinese air force has been present for many years, as there was an announcement several weeks ago, this does not mean that it entered recently, but simply that American sources since 2018 have been talking about the presence of the HQ-18 and HQ-17 systems, and Egypt revealed the presence of the HQ-9B systems after the entry of the HT-200 radars, which have been present for more than 20 years. In fact, Egypt’s military and armament cooperation has been expanding for more than 1970, and the announcement by the Chinese company CATIC celebrating cooperation for 45 years clarifies the obsolescence of these relations, as some do not understand all of this and only want to give a stereotypical image of Egypt or belittle Egyptian capabilities, making listening to this nonsense worthless as long as they possess objectivity, sound thinking, or sufficient information. The fact that some of the Muslim Brotherhood gangs have affected their narrow minds and the idea of limited is not our problem.
