Ostoora hahahaha. You know something

Why did the Russian Air Force take the T-90 tank for scientific research?

Because its turrets were so good at flying, they decided to give it a promotion!
Have none seen the Abrams turret flying in the war on Iraq..

Comparing to the Russian no. It was a joke ya The SC
Well..any tank exposed to ATGM from right, left and above will fare the same..The Leopard didn't fare better in Ukraine,, the thing is that Russia has deployed hundreds of Its tanks in Ukraine and the Ukrainians were supplied the best ATGMs out there by the US and Europe..
The question is: why the West does not send hundreds of its own tanks to Ukraine instead of buying old soviet tanks for Ukraine???..

Because of their production capacity. If you look at Germany (Leopard series), UK (Challenger) and France (Leclerc), their tanks can be counted on one hand, they are too low and not have the massive infrastructures like the US.

This is true. Their low form is actually an intentional design. They figured the best thing for a tank is to have a low silhouette and they did that under the pretense that it serves Russia in Russia's conditions, especially during their super long winters and massive snow-covered terrain. It would be easy for them to hide under those snow mounds and wait for NATO tanks and ambush them. That was the entire philosophy behind that design and it ended up working well in the desert as well.

And the high production rate is also correct. This is what I was telling that guy on the armed forces thread about the T-34. They designed that to be simple and high production capable to the point that during Stalingrad, they were replacing their lost T-34s right in the middle of the war and rolling them straight out the front door right into battle! This is a well-known historical fact. Too bad that dude couldn't comprehend the point I was making using that example.

They followed the same principle with the following models of tanks just like they do with their jets, submarines, AK,s etc. It's the Russian philosophy to keep the basis of the design requirement the same and add to them as the technology evolves.

But they have a serious problem with the turret attachment mechanism and system. That's quite evident as we see it clear as night & day. The western tanks, while we saw a few Abrams turrets separate when being hit and hit with massive IEDs, they don't separate in the sensational style as the Russian ones do lol.

But I still love the T-90MS and hope they contract it somehow. Tank is a beauty and a beast combined.

Especially in that color scheme. That little bit of maroon tossed in with those sand colors just makes it.

Funny you mentioned that. The Egyptian Armed Forces in general, throughout all 4 branches never get into any fun camo designs. It's crazy because if you look at back in the 60's into the early 80's and some of the 90's, the air force went mental almost full retard looool! With all their crazy color schemes on their MiGs from the MiG-17 to the 21 and the Mirage 5s!

You had this:

This insane one with the PINK mid secion! lol:

This classic one:

And they followed that same color pattern with the Mirage 5s.

But now you see none of 240 F-16s they've acquired through the 4 decades with any color variation except the orange dayglow. None of the Rafales of course. Not even an anniversary color scheme or a patriotic one which would look great even just on occasion like the RSAF does with the incredible green on all 3 types they have. The only thing they've done is on the new MiG-29s with the same 2-tone blues and on the Su-35s. What happened to all that creativity?

The Egyptian army develops 40 Amoun air defense batteries, the Spanish submarine deal manufactures the Rafale fighter locally

@Ghostkiller , remember you were asking SC which SAM system the EADS used to take down the Houthi drone that was flying close to Taba and some of its debris ended up falling on the small beach resort? I said I bet it was the IRIS-T-SLM because of how they had just announced the ordering of additional batteries to the first 7 they ordered right around that same time, so they seemed to be really happy about that system and how prolific it is. I figured they must've used it and nailed the Houthi missile also and because of the timing, it made sense. But guess what, apparently, I was wrong.

Thanks to SC posting this video, there's your answer right there @minute 2:30 - 2:50. Imagine that? Who'd thunk it was that system?

Because of the difficulty of testing the bomb in Serbia.

President Vučić, in a conversation with Jugoimport SDPR Assistant Director for Commercial Affairs, Aleksandar Lijaković, said that President Sisi will be asked to conduct the tests in Egypt.
