Gaza-Israel Conflict | 2023-2024

Bad for Israel when even Piers Morgan is changing his tune a bit. Actually, many more will change their tunes if/when the Gazans appear to be giving Israelis a bloody nose. Speaking of which, I hardly see Indian bloggers supporting Israel in the blogspace unlike it was shortly after October 7. It was not an Indian concern to begin with but the Modi followers (and initially the Indian govt) was too supportive of Israel and got exposed in front of the global media. What stupidity!!

Hamas and other Palestinian resistance factions shouldn't accept this proposal. There should be no exchange of hostages unless there is a complete cessation of hostilities. Ending the aggression against Gaza should be the first priority.

On the second part about the "Establishing a #Palestinian national dialogue under #Egyptian sponsorship with the aim of 'ending the division,'" that effort should be separate from ending this conflict. It seems some wants to explore if it is possible to overthrow Hamas during the duration of this conflict. It is true the Palestinians need a national dialogue for the restoration of a Palestinian statehood; however, that should be an effort that is pushed through a hasty proposal. It should be an effort driven by Palestinians themselves, and foreign hands should stay clear from interfering it.

Lastly, any proposal that doesn't recognize the sacrifices made by the Palestinian freedom fighters and doesn't put them at the forefront for any discussion of the future Palestinian state is a plan designed to safeguard the occupation.

As expected, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh rejected the proposal. It was expected and what the Egyptian mediators proposed doesn't make sense in the current context of the conflict. Arab governments need to get over presenting the American and Israeli plans, and need to develop their own proposals while making sure food, medicine, and fuel are delivered to the Palestinians in Gaza.

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, announced on December 23 that its fighters had carried out a series of attacks against the Israeli Defense Forces in different parts of the Gaza Strip.

🇵🇸🇮🇱Light Israeli Humvee M1097A2 ambushed by Hamas

As can been seen in the video all the Zionist child killing pigs were killed.

In the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, Hamas fighters used two unexploded Israeli aerial bombs, each weighing a ton, to blow up a convoy of the IDF made up of five main battle tanks. Several Israeli troops were allegedly killed or wounded.

A fighter of Hamas also gunned down four Israeli troops from point blank during a battle in Jabalia’s al-Qasasib neighborhood.

Meanwhile in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, two vehicles of the IDF were targeted with rocket-propelled grenades and a soldier was shot by Hamas fighters.

In the central Gaza town of Juhor al-Dik, Hamas fighters ambushed a convoy of four Israeli military jeeps using several explosive devices. A tank that advanced towards the ambush area was also hit with rocket-propelled grenades. Later, IDF reinforcements were shelled with mortars and rockets. Many Israeli troops were allegedly killed in the ambush.

The fighters also targeted an infantry force that advanced in the town with an explosive device and blew up a tunnel shaft after it was approached by an Israeli special operations unit, allegedly killing or wounding many. Reinforcements dispatched by the IDF to the tunnel shaft were also targeted with mortars.

In the city of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, Hamas fighters lured five troops from the IDF’s elite Yahalom engineering unit to a booby-trapped tunnel shaft then blew it up.

The fighters also targeted an armored personnel carrier and two soldiers with rocket-propelled grenades during another battle in the city.
Palestinian Men to Israeli men these cowardly Nazi Israelis are getting a kicking but Nazi Israeli bombs to Palestinian women and children the Nazi Israelis are winning.

Are the gulf Arab states really just hoping if they keep their head down no one will notice that they care about Shakira and boxing event's more than their fellow Arab Gazans dying in agony?

We are all essentially just mourning and observing a real time obituary of the last days of the Gazans as things are, the gulf Arabs are in festival mode...

And yet it failed in Iran because the people wanted what they have now. My point stands: if the people want it, no one can stop them. People get the government they deserve.
As if this happens just like that, nothing to it at all.

Iran's social restricts on the educated population, especially women is the main cause of brain drain, unlike China where Communist Party corruption, historical inferiority and now acute religious persecution of minorities, especially the Uighur is causing thousands to line up at the Mexican border. Iranians idiotic mullahs can end the brain drain in one day, if they gave more social freedoms. Enforcing Arab tribal dress and social codes on a educated population with rich culture of women participating in all national life simply does not work. It might help if you learn a few languages, travel a bit and also read some independent media. The world is very complex and increasingly anarchic place. Lots of grey zones.
yeh but then they will end up like the Arabs unable to see genocide and act when it is right in front of their nose.

Another child killing psychopath bit the dust. 👇

pile them high

Irgun the Jewish terrorist organisation which attacked the British after WW2 because British didnt give jews enough land fast enough was the original template for the IDF

Irgun was classed as a Jewish Terrorist organisation by British

they attacked and kills 1000s of British in Palestine, why? because not enough land was given to jews fast enough so Jews turned to terrorism

and yet when Palestinian land is stolen by Israel Hamas is the terrorist ?

they used to attack civilians and hide weapons in Synagogues and Irgun was brutal in its execution of prisoners

until this day their policy has continued on the Palestinians

the root cause and formation of IDF comes from Irgun a terrorist organisation

Most moral army in the world church killers....Catholic world and traditional Christians up in arms;

Well done to the priest "I don't believe the IDF, these are cold blooded killings by state forces".

The look on the reporter's face said it all.

Israel-Gaza war: Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel paying 'heavy price'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the Gaza war has come at a "very heavy price" for his side.
The military says 14 more soldiers have been killed in the Palestinian territory since Friday, bringing the total of the ground assault to 153.
Saturday was one of its deadliest days - but Mr Netanyahu said his forces had "no choice" but to keep fighting.
Meanwhile, the health ministry in Gaza - run by Hamas - says another 166 people were killed in the last day.
More than 20,000 people have been killed - mostly women and children, and 54,000 injured in Gaza since 7 October, the ministry says.
Remarking on the latest Israeli troop deaths, Mr Netanyahu said: "This is a difficult morning, after a very difficult day of fighting in Gaza."

But he said his forces would continue with "full force until the end", reiterating his goals of eliminating Hamas and ensuring the safe return of hostages held in Gaza.
"Let it be clear: this will be a long war," the Israeli prime minister added.
The military later said it had killed more than 8,000 Palestinian fighters during its campaign to date - in remarks quoted by the Reuters news agency.
The Israeli operation began after Hamas fighters crossed from Gaza into southern Israel on 7 October, killing 1,200 people and taking about 240 hostages.
Israel insists that it takes steps to avoid civilian casualties, and blames Hamas for embedding itself in densely-populated areas.
US President Joe Biden - a key ally of Mr Netanyahu - emphasised the "critical need" to protect civilian lives during a call with the Israeli prime minister on Saturday, the White House said.

Mr Biden told reporters that he had not asked for a ceasefire in the call. Both men believe such a move would benefit Hamas.
On Friday, the UN Security Council approved a resolution demanding large-scale aid deliveries to Gaza - but this, too, stopped short of calling for a ceasefire between the two warring sides.
Talks held in Egypt earlier this week designed to secure a fresh truce between Israel and Hamas have so far failed to deliver results.
A Palestinian official familiar with the ceasefire negotiations told the BBC that Egypt presented a new three-stage plan that would begin with a two-week humanitarian truce - which could be extended - during which Hamas would release 40 hostages and Israel would release 120 Palestinian prisoners.
This stage would be followed by the formation of an independent body to deal with humanitarian relief and reconstruction, as well as a comprehensive ceasefire and an exchange of prisoners.

Many Palestinians have been forced to flee northern Gaza to the territory's south
The Israeli military has kept up its bombing campaign in Gaza - ordering civilians to flee. The UN said the latest evacuation order affected 150,000 people in the middle of the territory.

On Saturday, Israel said 700 Palestinian militants had been arrested during its ground offensive to date.
It also said one of its fighter jets had killed Hassah Atrash, a man it accused of smuggling weapons into Gaza to arm Hamas. There has been no confirmation from Hamas.
The Israeli military has said it has almost full operational control of the north of the Gaza Strip, and is stepping up operations elsewhere.
A spokesman has said troops are entering new Hamas strongholds in southern areas.
Briefing his cabinet on Sunday, Mr Netanyahu denied suggestions the US president had persuaded him against further expanding his military operation.
The Wall Street Journal had reported that Mr Netanyahu had been talked out of attacking Hamas's ally in Lebanon, the Hezbollah group.
A government spokesperson told the BBC "the situation in the north... is intolerable" and that Israel was "trying to deter Hezbollah from dragging us into a war".
"We will continue making the necessary preparations to repel this threat from the northern border," he added.

Thousands March in Rabat Demanding End to Morocco-Israel Ties

RABAT (Reuters) -Thousands of protesters staged one of the largest pro-Palestinian marches in Rabat on Sunday since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, demanding an end to Morocco's ties with Israel.
Protests against Israel's war in Gaza have repeatedly drawn thousands of people in Morocco since the conflict began more than two months ago, mostly led by pan-Arab and Islamist groups.
Sunday's march was co-organised by leftist groups and the outlawed but tolerated Al-Adl wal-Ihsan Islamists.
Most of the 10,000 protesters appeared to be Islamists with men marching separately from women, waving Palestinian flags and holding placards reading "resistance till victory", "stop Moroccan government normalization with Israel" and "free Palestine".

Morocco agreed to strengthen ties with Israel in 2020, under a deal brokered by the U.S. administration under then President Donald Trump that also included Washington recognising Moroccan sovereignty over the disputed territory of Western Sahara.
Protesters in Sunday's march also called for a boycott of brands they accuse of supporting Israel.
Israel vowed to annihilate Hamas, which has ruled Gaza since 2007, after Hamas militants burst across the border fence on Oct. 7 and went on a rampage through Israeli towns, killing 1,200 people and seizing 240 hostages.
Since then, Gaza's health authorities say more than 20,000 people have been confirmed killed in Israeli strikes and a ground offensive, with thousands more missing and presumed dead under the rubble.
Despite their policy of normalising ties with Israel, Moroccan authorities have continued to back the creation of a Palestinian state and have urged a ceasefire in Gaza and the protection of all civilians there.
Although Morocco and Israel have not yet completed the process of setting up full embassies in each other's countries as they agreed, they have moved closer together, signing a defence cooperation pact.

Netanyahu has blood on his hands from both sides. I believe that him and his cabinet will one day stand trial for genocide and slaughter - ethnic cleansing and even putting the nation he strides to represent at risk.
No person with any sane attributes can justify his actions.

Details of the Egyptian initiative to stop the war in Gaza, which consists of three stages.

First stage :

-The first phase includes the start of a humanitarian truce for two weeks, which can be extended for two or three weeks, during which Hamas releases 40 Israeli detainees, women and children (under 18 years old), and elderly males, especially the sick.In return, Israel releases 120 Palestinian prisoners of the same two categories, during which hostilities cease, tanks withdraw, and food and medical aid, fuel and cooking gas flow to the Gaza Strip.

Second stage :

-Establishing a Palestinian national dialogue under Egyptian sponsorship with the aim of “ending the division,” and forming a government of technocrats (independents) that will supervise humanitarian relief issues, the Gaza Strip reconstruction file, and paving the way for Palestinian general and presidential elections.

Third stage :

-A complete and comprehensive ceasefire, and a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal that includes all Israeli soldiers with Hamas, the Islamic Jihad movement, and other factions, during which an agreement will be reached on the number of Palestinian prisoners that Israel will release, including those with high convictions, and those who were arrested by Israel after October 7th.The final stage includes an Israeli withdrawal from the cities of the Gaza Strip, and enabling the displaced to return to their areas in Gaza and the northern Strip.
