Hamas defending their people and fighting an occupation is not considered terrorism under international law.
Depends on the meaning of freedom (from occupation) that they use.
Their definition of freedom is ambiguous, sometimes it refers to the freedom of occupation on west bank, sometimes it refers to the freedom from Israel control of borders, sometimes it means the freedom from the existence of Israel state.
The fighting to get the freedom in the first 2 meaning as long as not fighting civilian will not be considered terrorism under international law.
But the fighting to get the freedom in the last meaning (extermination of Israel), or attacking like 7th October 2023 will be considered terrorism under international law.
There is impression that they like to use this ambiguity to deceive international world in order to get international community support on their fighting which if they win it will end up with the extermination of Israel. @oldenwisdom...قول بزرگ
