If the IAF was so successful in May 2025, as you harp on about, why the need to beg the French, Russians, and Israelis for all their latest equipment? Surely you've already got what you need don't you? And you're a "4 trillion" economy with the best scientists, engineers and software coolies, so why do you need to beg other nations for weapons? Why the sudden rush to get the latest and greatest against a tinpot third world poor country that's seven times smaller than you?

There is a lot of mutual respect for Israel and India

In any difficult situation Israel will be first to aid India in serious conflict

But I.d like to think we are big enough strong enough not to need them at all ...

But I'm glad it's a strategic security partnership not just trade ...

Also Israel produces no real platforms, just subsystems. They managed to fool the Indians into adding these onto existing Russian kit and we all saw the outcomes. At one point Israeli EW pod carried by SU-30 was jamming the SU-30s own radar.

Phalcon AEW has proven so bad they use NETA instead and their Barak SAMs shot down their own chopper.

Iron Dome is great, but co developed with US.

Much of Israel's kit works well when it is seanlessly integrated and made for their US platforms, much like how the Singapore AF has done and the IDFAF does itself.

India has only French and Russian platforms. Utter shit show.

Seemed pretty good recently Russian French and Israeli systems outstanding worked well enough for certain country to beg for stopping of bombing or they will go nuclear ..
