This is the second time China FM has been told that there will never be any "concession" over the islands and have to be reminded of it, if someone wants the islands it would be took only by the use force

Either they forget each time, either they are heavily under UAE pressure

Be clear. FM, being interim or deffinitive one should say "whenever China make some concessions over Spratly island, Iran will do the same". But Chinese claims are crazy given their position in the Seven Point Line marked by them.

Iran, Russia working to finalize strategic cooperation deal: Envoy

Tehran, IRNA - Iran's ambassador to Moscow says the Islamic Republic and Russia are working to finalize the long-term strategic cooperation agreement for the two allies to sign after the Iranian presidential elections.

Kazem Jalali made the remarks during an interview with the Vedomosti news agency on the sidelines of the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Sunday.

He emphasized Iran's determination to develop economic relations with Russia, and said the strategic cooperation agreement will be ready to sign after Iran's June 28 presidential elections.

"This agreement is in the final stages, and if it were not for the air incident involving the helicopter carrying the late Iranian president, this agreement could have already been signed," the ambassador said.

The strategic cooperation agreement between Iran and Russia was initiated in 2022 under the administration of the late Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a tragic helicopter crash last month.

The agreement aims to deepen bilateral ties in various areas, including political, economic, and security cooperation.

Jalali said, "I believe that after the Iranian presidential election, we can begin the groundwork for signing this agreement."

Will it be like the 20 year “strategic” China deal? Aka worthless while they tell us to give up our islands to a country that didn’t exist a century ago?
It has been clear for the islands

If someone wants them, they can, by the use of force, but not by diplomacy or ""concession""

This is what China and Russia must kept engraved inside their heads

IF THEY WANT THE ISLANDS, UAE has to take them using FORCE

The rest is just useless talks or trying to give moral boost to UAE

First China and now Russia.

Who needs enemies when we got friends like this.

"The process, of course, has been suspended due to problems with Iranian partners," he told the agency in comments that were widely reported by other outlets, although he added, "I have no doubt that it will be completed."

"This agreement is in the final stages, and if it were not for the air incident involving the helicopter carrying the late Iranian president, this agreement could have already been signed," Jalili said, according to the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA)."

"Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that the work on the deal is ongoing, although presidential elections in Tehran have meant that the schedule is "shifting slightly," Tass reported, but that this "does not change the picture."

From the article you posted, what are you taking issue with that that we're not noticing?

This “deal” has been in the making for a long time. Similar to the 20 year “strategic” agreement.

The reason these take so long is because China and Russia play hardball with Iran and we end with a watered down face saving agreement that goes no where in terms of changing the calculus.

Tell me exactly in the years that have passed since the strategic deal with China, what exactly has Iran gotten in return? It was selling oil to China before the deal.

Russia and China will not treat iran any different. They will keep using Iran for their own goals and keep them at arms length. True partnership is still far far away.
