Ok bro, not to flog a dead horse, but there is a distinction between a temporary cessation, versus agreeing to overly generous terms of a temporary cessation.Nobody cares about favorable internal pressure in the West. We don't, they don't, Israel doesn't.
If Iran accepts a ceasefire, we have lost the war. It is a premature declaration of surrender. And I hope the Islamic Republic would be kicked fast and get replaced by whatever regime that will be subservient to the US.
No one is asking for the latter, but they are trying to get to the former
And this notional period is likely to be just the first attempt and you may end up going back to war anyway, but at least that clarifies a terms of reference for a future negotiation.
You see the subtlety here is to prevent a disastrous spiral with some pause for a ceasefire and negotiation.
Just because you agree to a ceasefire hardly means you accept a surrender, that is nonsense if you retain the ability to continue, then you simply continue
And ultimately Iran does want to come to the negotiating table
