2 of the 8 US pilots killed in the B-52 crash were involved in bombing Iran

I'm a little skeptical. That aircraft was assigned to the 412th Test Wing. I'm not aware of any test wing aircraft that would be used in combat operations unless it was deemed safe enough to test its radar upgrade (received Dec. 2025) in a combat environment.

The pilots? Possible. It depends on their current tour.

This is why I generally distrust Twitter posts regardless of who posts them.

There will probably be arms deal and cooperation between US and Iran if the final deal is signed

F-16 F-15 and cooperation for warships

People laugh at this but with Trump everything is possible

American chest beaters - and they know who they are - now need to explain how USA is in a stronger position in the Gulf region than before the war. You fought this war for Israel and Israel has benefited - is that really something your sons in uniform should be proud of?

Answer: Crickets!
Iran has gained the upper hand. No questions about that. Forget this forum, look at what just about all the analysts are saying.

— Any final agreement will include a plan to establish a $300 billion fund for Iran's reconstruction.

Looks like there maybe some truth in the $300 billion fund, after all. Here is Reuters.

  • Commitments exceed $150 billion across five regions, says source
  • The investment fund vehicle contains no government money
  • New fund is separate from frozen asset talks, says source
  • Fund only becomes operational after a final U.S.-Iran deal is signed
DUBAI, June 16 (Reuters) - A $300 billion private fund designed to trigger investment into Iran is outlined in the U.S.-Iran framework agreement and more than half that sum has already been committed, a source with ‌direct knowledge of the deal told Reuters.
The fund is designed to give both sides an economic incentive to conclude a final deal, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the plan has not yet been announced as Washington and Tehran prepare to sign on Friday.

While that is a strech of the imagination - both the KGB and CIA are on record that Iran is the true lynchpin ally they desire in the middle east - not the GCC particularly.
Because it lets them influence the ME, Central Asia - South Asia and really be central to it all.

I sure hope this happens. Hegseth was the one who assured Trump that Iran would never close the Strait of Hormuz. For that alone he deserves to be fired.

Well, I'm rather surprised. I thought Iran had thrown its initiative away over that last two weeks of conflict. I was wrong.

I was surprised that you had joined the doomers and the gloomers in this thread but I respect you admitting you were wrong. I doubt many here are capable of their proven wrong. Kudos to you, friend!

In regards to the Korean War, the USA never expected China to enter the war. The Chinese had warned them multiple times but they thought of it as just hot air. The moment they started to came close towards the Yalu River, China entered the war and pushed them all the way back to the current North-South border. China was losing men at a high rate but they successfully pushed the entire allied forces back. They would have taken Seoul too but then the ceasefire happened.
You really have an aversion to history books don't you?

Seoul changed hands 4 times during the war. The 3rd time was January, 1951 when the city fell to forces of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army.

UN forces recaptured the city in March 1951. The Chinese did attempt to retake it in April 1951 during their spring offensive but were repelled.

Iranian oil has been sanctioned since 1996 by an act. Iran continues to sell both before during and after. You should instead talk volumes... pre war volumes were 2 million bpd and they increased by a bit during war... Iran still managed to sell oil during the blockade ... numbers are not fully known but Chinese refineries kept receiving oil under Malaysian blend.
However, US oil reserves have dropped to less than half their capacity during this time ... a deal now literally saved hitting the bottom of the barrel! You may not drive but those who do can tell the difference... they're paying for with their wallets... the whole world did!
The US has become a major oil exporting country as a result of this war at the expense of the Persian Gulf exporters.

Countries from South Asia have started importing oil from the US.

Add, how many times Iran walked away from the table as well... that half sentence only reflects heartburn.
How many times?

The Americans attacked Iran twice (2025 and 2026) during middle of negotiations. They also attacked Iran during the cease-fire. Does that show the US is desperate for negotiations or a deal, or they've successfully imposed a stick and carrot policy against Iran? 🤔

Yes, the same history books the American high command was reading about China lol.

The Chinese took the WHOLE of North Korea from the combined forces of almost the whole world lead by the USA. They would have eventually taken Seoul.

The Chinese have used the push-pull tactic several times during many of their wars and it always works.

The Chinese would be in a battle and begin to pull back, the enemy would start thinking they are being defeated, they move in forward and fall into trap where China beats the crap out of them from a better position causing severe losses and pushes them back, then pulls back again. The enemy thinks it was China's last do-or-die stance and that is why China pulled back even though the tide was on their side. The enemies try again and after a few battles they get pushed back more and more.

That is how China took all of North Korea. They would have eventually taken Seoul and then the rest of the South if the war had kept going on.

The USSR convinced China to sign the ceasefire otherwise there would have been no South Korea today.

Really? I don’t see all the GCC nations falling over themselves to get into the US camp after this debacle.

Really. Tell me when you see any of them leaving the US camp anytime soon. :D

Glad that idiot goes - he has radicalized the military and actually stripped professionalism while wasting time on his so called killer instinct bs.

One extreme was Obama to Biden trannies in the military joining for sex change benefits and now its wannabe crusaders PoGs taking over actual warfighting professionals
