Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

We fought with Iraq for 8 years. Iraq had a strong army in 90s. Their ground forces were top-notch.

If Iran were smart, we wouldn't have wasted trillions of dollars on a useless nuclear program and the "Axis of Resistance".
you fought with iraq for 8 years cuz u executed a lot of your officers during the revolution.
again, Iraq wasn't strong , you were just kinda fragile during that era , but now everything changed.

excuse me if i accuse you wrongfully, but are you a pahlavist?

We executed most of our generals, not just officers. But we also had the world's 5th largest air force at the time. The IRIAF at the time was formidable. We had 80 F-14s, which were equivalent to F-22 in terms of today aviation. We also had over 140 F-4s and F-5s in our inventory. The Iranian army was strong back then, even though we had executed most of our generals.

I prefer the Shah to the Islamic Republic for sure, but I don't like his son (Reza Pahlavi). However, I believe Mohammadreza Pahlavi (the last Shah) was better than the Islamic Republic and his policies were better for Iran.

We had no reason to waste our money on Arabs, particularly Palestinians. We also shouldn't have turned the US into our archenemy. Besides that, we spent over 30 years on a nuclear program that resulted in absolutely nothing for Iran. We spent billions of dollars in Syria, and even more money in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Yemen, even countries like Sudan, Djibouti, all for naught.

here is from business insider ( english version for you)

Conspiracy ya lol .. next time you park your ships next to our shores again , it won't be just a small EW collide accident : ))

Okay, thank you for the credible source. I was understanding that this happened since the Iran war started but it was actually before then.

As for your empty threats, I'll say again, Egypt is nowhere near a match for the usn.

So you can threaten and huff and puff away, but just remember, there's always going to be retaliation if anything happens.

but it already happened , where is the retaliation ?
No serious damage was done let alone sinking in an aircraft carrier. No casualties, I have a suggestion, start shooting at an aircraft carrier and see how long you live

Besides that, you're in no position of authority to speak for Egypt. You're just a member of a forum with no power in the outside world

Well , you probably have learned anything from the lessons of the past and the present , having f-14 or f-5 or whatever from the different types of american aircrafts won't be useful for when they control everything about the fighter jet.

take a look about the gulf countries , what did the american aircraft do for them ? f-15 , f-18 , f-16 and all new and upgraded .. nothing at all , U.S always control their equipments when sold to other countries , that's why in Egypt we began to dumb all their equipments .. iran is doing the right thing trust me.

you didn't waste your money , you created small armies around the area for your favour , like houthis , hezbala in lebanon, iraq militias etc . without them you would've probably fallen by now by the american airstrikes.

The lesson we learned from the Iraq-Iran war is that had we not had the IRIAF, we wouldn't have been able to deter the Iraqi invasion of Khuzestan :) The IRIAF was extremely useful during the war. It was a great investment.

Please do not compare Iran with its human resources to tiny Sheikhlets of the Persian Gulf. Countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the Emirates, they aren't even real countries. The same goes for Iraq too, to a much lesser extent.

Yes, we did. Small areas that are useless and fell one after another in 2 years. What did the Houthis of Yemen do for us in our 3 most recent wars? Nothing.

We could've spent all that money on our own army instead. A complete, total waste of time and money. We spent close to $50 billion during the Syrian Civil War to keep Assad in power. We could've purchased hundreds of Russian and Chinese jet fighters with that money.

What? Iraq had the 2nd largest military in the Arab world and had a mixture of modern Soviet and Western military equipment. By the end of war he had a 1 million man army.

People forget before 1990, Iraq was relatively wealthy and not under sanctions. During the war Arabs and Soviet Union gave over 100B dollars in loans for Saddam to buy the latest military equipment. Saddam had fierce loyalty of his generals and officers and chemical weapon delivery systems.

Not sure what revisionist history you read that suddenly makes Iraq weak in 1980.

Sadaam had recruited THOUSANDS of Egyptians during that war with Iran , and Mubarak sent his generals there , you probably don't know that.

and why didn't you buy the Egyptian cancelled su-35 deal from Russia? weren't there rumors that you want them ?

we have different opinions mate , but anyway you love your country and i admire that.

I think if iran gets a breathing room after this, they should be all over chinese jets like j-10s, awacs and possibly even j-35 to rebuild a formidable air force to deter israeli/us airforces, if iran had j-10s with pl-15 supported by long range awacs, israeli airforce wouldn't dare come anywhere in the 500km radius of iran.
