This war is unpopular, and many Senate Republicans have their terms ending beyond 2028. That means they could use the opposition of the American people to grow a backbone and withstand Trump's bullying.

Trump himself knows it, and hence the reason he desperately needs the Strait of Hormuz to be fully open before the midterms election.

Hopefully if the Democrats, at the very least gain control of the House of Representatives, Will have plenty of oversight committees

If you know, you know. IR is fucking retarded. Even if IR somehow manages to defeat the superpower they will likely clamp down on civil and social liberties. Iranians lose either way.

This usually means the guys spends long periods in prayer and prostration. Or does it have a different meaning in Iranian context ?
