I think american mic is done after iran completely devasted american presence in the region with low cost indigenous drones and missiles, the world is watching how a poor country under sanctions for the past 50 years has completely dominated the escalation ladder against the hyperpower of the world, with passage of time no one will buy american overpriced junk weapons which are only good for oppressing unarmed civilians but as soon as they face a real army they become impotent, and look inwards to build their own defence industries.
in a recent attack on bases, USA fired 100 PAC 2 and PAC 3 missiles, in a single salvo!
only problem is, at this rate, it is not any more a question of 'tech. obsolescence' only!
bec. if your AD concept goes out of business, your basis infrastructure, assets these bases hold along with the staff; hold no value in the battle zone!
all will be cooked, before it starts to move!
now, as a result of this, USA needs to balance a trade-off. It cannot leave this region now because it needs dollar flows as now, more dollar are needed to engineer more sophisticated missile, which require very heft investment!
Trade off: 1. more investment 2. more regional conflicts 3. trade routes closed with inflation rising faster than speed of money flowing towards the USA economy(in other words, even investment can now create inflation!)
thats a killer blow, but, requires sustained effort of 2 to 3 years1
