How is the price of bread? Availability of petrol and diesel at the pump? Water for farming and livestock?

The story does not compare well against the largest world economy borrowing at a few percentage points higher, paying twice as much at the pump etc.

The only loosers are the regional countries across the sectarian divide.
Hope chief sahb is on good terms wid dem irani turani no?

We got to look out after our own first bhai.......

Rest everyone else can go to hell for all I care.

Because they can no longer control the direction of this war, and only two choices left for them: either Iran got leveled by the US or the US lost its superpower status after this unprecedented fiasco.
Maybe not that simple. Look the US lost so badly in Vietnam war after a decade fighting, but it managed to come back after some years and started waging wars again in the world. Maybe this time is different, the state of US economy and the damages Trump does to US can't be easily repaired.

The US after the Vietnam war got revived because of the anchoring Petro-Dollar.

Today's US is much more indebted compared to the Vietnam war era US and being much more deindustrialized, and without the Petro-Dollar as their current only lifeline, how they can fix this mess which is now beyond reparations?

I'm back. Has the war ended? The children finally started school, and only then could I have some free time.
I haven't paid attention to the news for a long time since I went on a two-month vacation with the kids.

It has been turned into the existential war for the petro-dollar when the two straits have been blocked, and it is so captain obvious.

Strait of Hormuz is only closed in your head.

Looking at various tracking will tell you at least 10MBPD is leaving the strait up from 5MBPD when MoU collapsed. Tankers are no longer scared of Iran. Iran has had difficulty striking them or is refraining for whatever reason.

Shortfall could be as little as 2-3MBPD (not counting Iranian oil that went exclusively to China). But let’s say double that (5MBPD) is the shortfall. That is not enough to collapse the U.S. or petrodollar or global economy.

So Iran has a decision to make because as I been saying for last 8 weeks, its leverage is eroding. Oil being at $105 isn’t going to cut it.

American people are willing to shoot themselves in the head for the sake of Jews personal interests

Anything Jews asks, they will get it unconditionally
Shysters own the US man......you take out dem kikes from da US and the system will collapse cuz 76% of all fortune 400/ 500 companies owned by these heenbs no?

Dis da drama man.......

It is not fully closed because it is not a full blown war yet.

However, the Strait of Hormuz at the hand of Iran and the Bab al-Mandab Strait at the hand of the Houthis, it gonna hold the Petro-Dollar at hostage which the US can never tolerate it.

It hasn’t been a full war since April 1st. What’s your point? Why go to war when US can do a blockade that Iran has been helpless to break thru?

The 3-5MBPD that was leaving Yanbu is now going to leave out of Persian Gulf. We are already seeing Saudi tankers leaving from the Persian Gulf.

Once again Iran has been playing its hand terribly since the April ceasefire.

Not all supporters of the Batista regime fled to the US, many of them still dwell within Cuba, and are waiting for the opportunity to revert back to the previous right-wing government.

As some of our Iranian friends also pointed out, these Latino nations are not originator of their own civilization, and doesn't have baggage of carrying forward the torch of their own civilization, and surrendering means very little to them.
I say converted third world people and many here take serious offense to that statement/ narrative.

Many here don't realize that centuries of colonization has shaped their culture/ politics and they are ashamed now and don't want to discuss it.

Yes, but we also have little to lose at this point.
The US has imposed a naval blockade on Iran, effectively disrupting our international imports/exports through free waters. And now they're working to shut down our land routes as well. Meraj Airline has canceled their flights in late September. Soon our air transport will be crippled too. That means sooner or later, Iran will be suffocated and die.

Iran needs to change the status quo fast and decisively. It is extremely unlikely that this situation can last for years because the Iranian economy is truly failing and they're tightening the screws.

Funny how Ukraine is the country that is unintentionally helping us, while the Russians have done nothing for us, are benefitting from high oil prices and lifted sanctions thanks to the war with Iran and are besties with Israel. The late Khamenei really did a number on our foreign relations. He did have a knack for siding with the wrong side.
Not a single bullet has come to Iran from neither Russia let alone China.

Nothing!

There is no massive ground troops deployment like in Russia-Ukraine, so it is not yet a full blown war.

However, it seems that the democrats are starting to support Trump to escalate the war potentially into a massive ground invasion.

It looks like to defend their petro-dollar empire is universally bipartisanship for them.
