I think you are on to something here. The have been reports of Israeli attacks on "Syrian airbases" for last few months, ever since fall of Assad regime. I think that was part of the subterfuge and Israel is actually using a Syrian airbase close to Iraqi border to launch its aircraft at Iran. This is being done with full cooperation of new Syrian regime, as a test case for it by the West.

There just isn't enough boom tankers in IDF to refuel such a massive strike package... no way! It is also possible Jordan territory was used to land and refuel as for US tankers being used over Iraq no way. Can't hide such a large signature like that.
