The impact to China if Iran hits shipping is three fold

1. Their Oil from middle east is gone. Meaning their economy will crash, so will India's, two major BRICS players
2. Their dependence on Russian oil will increase dramatically. Putin will squeeze Xi. Its a win for Russia
3. If Iran is gone, no CPEC, no belt and roads. They are now just a pacific power thats all bottled up by US/Japan/Taiwan/Philippines.

My assessments were correct here. Putin is a Russian nationalist the same was the Taliban are Pashtun nationalists. He will not risk himself over for those that are not his own.

End game deny China oil and gas

Surrounding Iran has always been about denying Russian access to Oceans in Arab/Persian Gulf and now also China

Even the important Zio-MAGA figure like Mike Flynn has already openly admitted that the endgame of war against Iran is always China.

I don't want to boast China's highlight spot in that threat, but I am trying to push the Iranian leadership to act harder, but also a stimulant to boost those passive Chinese leadership as well.

You cannot always be responsive to your enemy, and need to act pre-emptively.

Will be difficult for Iran

You will see the Iranians have positioned several naval vessels - but there are NATO and US Navy vessels in the region too. I have highlighted a Joint - Australian /NATO vessel in the TOP left corner to explain this.

I believe that the Iranian regime is now grappling with the possible question of it’s own political survival.

The military theatre, while dramatic,
is only a small part of the classical US play book we have seen decades ago in South America, then later on in Libya and Syria. Regime change. That’s the goal and the US has gotten serious about it.

Thing is, Iran isn’t a weak political structure like Libya or Syria, so it won’t be easy at all. But playing realpolitik would mean Iran de- escalating to fight another day.

They sure as heck cannot or shouldn’t escalate with the US in the picture. That won’t end well. Unless the Iranian regime wants to go done in flames

This is not a commentary on the Iranian people who have fought courageously at a time when few did. But this round is done.

I am just taking about possibilities it is a GBU not a tunnel boring machine..... By your estimates a hypersonic at mach 10 should penetrate 10 km deep into earth regardless of if it lands on water , Stone or soil ....

I never made any estimates.

However, there is sufficient on-line tools available that with certain assumptions regarding angle of impact, coefficient of drag on the GBU, terminal velocity, and the density of solid granite (SpGr is 2.7-2.9 IIRC), you can make assumptions on depth of penetration.

Then, and this is where the weaponeers and their wonder-software comes in. Based on the shape of the charge, velocity and direction of the explosion, the models would have told them A: just how deep each bomb would penetrate prior to explosion, added depth of the explosion, and how close subsequent hits would have to be to keep up that momentum.

lol. The people’s revolution was against the Shah of Iran, and not for the installment for a permanent mullah autocratic regime in Iran.

The people's revolution had a strong Islamic component and its main leader was Khomeini. If Iran had been left alone after revolution, its possible things would have turned out differently. But Iran was immediately attacked by Saddam and his GCC/Western sponsors.

This has happened before in history as well. Russian revolution that overthrew Czar in 1918 was also a partnership between different groups but eventually the communists were the ones who took control and formed the govt.
