You sound like China desperately tries to sell weapons to Iran, it's Iran who needs modern weapons so badly now, not China, China is never in a hurry, many terms must be met before Iran can get its hands on top Chinese military gears.

One thing many people don't realize is that all of China's military-industrial enterprises are state-owned, and their control belongs entirely to the Chinese government.

This results in the business practices of China's military-industrial enterprises being politically oriented rather than profit-oriented.

In the case of Iran It is impossible to get the Chinese government to compromise on technical security or long-term interests with some money or oil. The Chinese government does not need to rely on the arms conglomerates to make money.

The main reason why Pakistan did so well was because

1. Pakistan has long been integrated into the Chinese MIC

2. Pakistan has the full gamut of Chinese weapons systems and they are seamlessly integrated

3. Pakistan's pilots have trained for years on these systems. Obviously Pakistan's pilots are world class and very brave, as we have seen, but using these planes also come as second nature because they have been training on them for years.

The main challenge with Iran is that they are rushing to solve a problem that should've been solved 4 years ago. They are not integrated or familiar with Chinese weapons systems, their military is deeply infiltrated and that is something China has to consider deeply, Israel is ready to pounce any minute and will likely target any jet that China sends to Iran immediately and Iran doesn't have the full weapons systems that will be crucial to overcoming Israel's superior jet power.

I still hope China supplies jets to Iran, but these are real issues and challenges that should be noted.

You tell me. China had no concerns about selling weapons around the world from 1960s to 1990's cause it didn't worry about divulging secrets to the west, we saw a lot of weapon exports made during that time.
But now it's different, many China weapons now are second to none in technology with world beating system, China has to be extremely careful on exporting them to prevent them from falling into US hands.

So Iran doesn't just lack weapons, it lacks good pilots. Their pilots have been out of modern air warfare for too long.

Iran needs to ditch India and repair its relationship with Pakistan so that the two air forces can exchange and cooperate.

J10 is battle tested and successful.

Chinese war tech is viewed as credible even among western military analyst.

An RC model was introduced at that time. Developing high tech engines suitable for 5th generation, avionics and support systems takes time to be honest.

There are 2 versions of it, manned and unmanned. The bigger unmanned one is unveiled but still under development. And the manned one has passed only taxi tests.

Iran successfully repelled the American Israeli attack using its indigenous technologies. Its an indication that indigenous technologies always helps you to have the edge and number simultaneously.

We didn't use Chinese weapons for that purpose but Iranian ones.

Pakistan is highly dependent on China in military sector. We cannot be like that. When Israel and USA be your enemies, you are not allowed to be dependent on foreign countries. In Syria, Libya and every where else we saw what happens to dependent states. China won't come to fight our war. Most importantly, why would they sacrifice billions of trade with Israel's big daddy?

For developing countries, dependence is a poison, esp when USA be your enemy.

Iran needs to import the complete Chinese combat system including not limited to J-10C, J-35A, PL-15E, KJ-500, HQ-9, HQ-16, JY-27 and so on. And it also needs to send pilots to train in China until they are combat effective and then return home.
