Seems Israel may have been successful targeting at least one fire control radar for S-300. It appears Israel went for the critical system in the S-300 network (the fire control radars). Rather than any TELS or other sub systems.

plausible that they hit the FCR for all 4-5 s-300pmu2 batteries in Iran

hence their (wildly exaggerated) claim of destroying 'all' of Iran's long range air defences (i.e., removing all s-300 batteries from operation)

They would provide the evidence in that case.

If you hit the FCR you in essence "destroy" the whole battery as without FCR, it is useless.

No evidence of hitting any part of a single S-300PMU2 has so far been provided.

ok I guess you choose to ignore the satellite imagery someone else just posted above

But why would you have erected some launchers and the search radar if the battery cannot fire?.

On the other hand the 30N6E is present. It is just covered but it is actually there. Usually you would withdraw all battery, not just the FCR.

There are two only explanation;

1º.- IRGC is lying and they mantain most of the systems of the battery.
2º.- They have replaced them and keep

it is quite common for shops to have CCTV cameras that are not working too ...

I suspect the FCRs are indeed destroyed / damaged and iran is waiting for Russia for replacements (Russia has a large number)

Ok I accept it. We will put in the worst scenario. Maybe that An-124 bring one or two, we should be aware of further movements in Mehrabad AB.

By the way, checking one of the famous S300PMU2 sites (Mehrabad) in the position of the FCR there is a radar vehicle, the one in the right part of the picture it is very similar to 30N6E radar. Unfortunately the Google maps picture took seems to be on the sunset or dawn, so the quality it is really bad.

There are back up FCRs that can be brought in to keep the system running. So Iran replaces them with less capable FCRs while it waits for original FCRs to be repaired, back ups to be brought out of storage, or sent from Russia. There might even be a program inside Iran to use Iranian made FCRs with S-300 batteries as a fail safe option.

This is why hitting the THAAD radar is so valuable because the real component are the search radar and the respective FCR not the launchers.

This demonstrates why iran needs proper Shohrad and automated Anti drone systems in place. Long range systems are like Bavar and S-300 are highly to micro size vulnerable munitions like FPV drones or micro cruise missiles. Just look at how many Ukraine S-300 Russia took out or how Ukraine took out S-300/S-400.

It is fascinating how productive and imaginative Iranian scientists are in the field of radar and electronic warfare.

Totally agree - very impressive. It is only now Pakistan has finally woken out of its slumber and is trying to replicate what Iran has already achieved in this space.
