I feel the same, he is good on technical specifications and knowledge, but he's too optimistic and engaged in copium to be someone to take seriously. For me unfortunately once copium starts to emerge, I can't even value the person's technical knowledge anymore. Too much of a risk of misinformation and copium is inherently antithetical to credibility. He lost me at still talking about True Promise III. Not sure if he or Marandi recognize it is very cringe.useful insights to consider with good technical understanding but definitely high on copium a lot of the time
How reliable is Pataramesh? Lately his posts have been a lot like IranObserver. I see him as a little bit of a cope peddler.
The commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base announced the unveiling of the new generation of the "Bawar 373" defense system in the future, stating: "The power of this system is unmatched by any defense system in the world."
Probably an upgrade of the original rather than a wholly new system, the original Bavar is quite a good system on paper. I'm not sure if its in mass production yet. Iran's problem is it has the brainpower and creativity to make niche systems for A2/AD and asymmetrical warfare, it just lacks the industrial capability to match it. Kind of like Italy during World War II, they made some of the best planes of the war, but because they weren't a fully industrialized country, they weren't as common as say, the BF-109 or the P-51 Mustang.is this the Bavar 2-373 ?

A country as big as Iran would need way more than that. It's a good start, but there's no excuse in the 21st century for not being fully industrialized.well I do think that Iran is close to operating around a dozen Bavar 373 which is not bad
Sorry going to have to say fake news not just a picture and caption saying what he supposedly said is there actual video and audio. Plasma weapons aren’t fake or new for that matter, size and cost are the biggest factor in developing one from what I have read
I do not doubt your information concerning plasma weapons but please provide an actual video reference of the US official stating the following. Akin to the video of the Iranian military officer discussion the plasma weapons matter. It's not about the claims per se but more about verifying the source of the said information.
this is not true
You're generally sober in your assessments.this is not true
possible the fire control radars of the 5 s-300 batteries were taken out, plus one Hawk launcher. Ino Bavar-373 is deployed yet to be damaged. at least a few OTH radars were damaged but likely repaired quite quickly. Israeli/Western media claims that Israel took out all of Iran's air defences is a comical claim. You're generally sober in your assessments.
What's the state of Iran's air defense? Cope artists are saying 1 radar was damaged. Israelis are saying all S-300s are neutralized along with some Bavar 373 and Hawk systems.
Where's the sober, accurate, middle ground?

FCR radars can be replaced by Russia, they have a huge inventory. IRGC also has its own air defences in the s-300 role (upgraded Sevome Khordad, Mehran).
there is no Iranian ABM capability so virtually no capability to intercept Israeli ALBMs but these probably don't exist in huge numbers.
ultimately Iran is huge and there will be gaps in radar coverage that US can identify and help Israel exploit, but Western media claims that Iran is now totally without air defences and a sitting duck are not true
that was a small building, these things don't take 6+ months to build, those have been rebuilt and new OTH radar was recently brought online in north of IranOne of Iran’s OTH lost its entire command and control node at the center of the plant. That isn’t being repaired quickly, the entire building and electrical work has to be repaired.
And we have seen Bavar missing their components so it’s inconclusive to say Bavar escaped unscathed and it was only S-300.
