Removing working fighter jets is stupid and nonsense! These working armed planes have their great uses and in addition many phantoms have been modernized and use modern weapons. Same for the F14 and other fighter jets. They will be removed when they are destroyed, that is the reality

Would be a smart move for the IRIAF seeing that Iran is under sanctions.

I will not be a pessimist regarding the recently reported acquisition of a handful of SU-35 Flankers. Just wonder how long it will take Russia to deliver 50 or even 60 of these, given its own needs vs Ukraine.

There is thus a definite argument to be made for the retention & upgrading of the IRIAF' F-14s and F-4's.

Other a/c that has been in service for years, and upgraded periodically, are of course the B-52; T-39 Talon; F-5XX; C-130; KC-135 and so forth.

With this one, It must be at least 100 Su35s delivered to IRIAF 🤣. I won't believe it until any OSINT picture is published in Hamedan, Bushrer or Tabriz.

Anyway those aircraft are more than needed. Long range interceptors with long range radars will make US and their proxies think twice before any retaliatory strike.

So now its official? Iran got Su-35?

No. It says 'next year'. Another variation to the Iranian 'coming soon'.

Never forget Iran has 'free hoagies tomorrow'.

Yaseen crash (ignore Ko-sar pic). Both pilots, سرهنگ حمید رضا رنجبر و سرهنگ منوچهر پیرزاده, martyred:

Israel will without a doubt try to damage or destroy one Su-35 using quadcopters to try humiliating Iran

I really hope they put them in Oghab base and not parked outside

It is not the time to give up. Iran need their own indigenous technology. We know that Yassin was not a top notch fighter, but it is a good basis for basic/advance training pilots, engineers, ground crews and industry, and enough good for light CAS missions. Iran must not give up.

In a terribly sad way there is a silver lining about all this: Iran is putting in skin in developing this system.
