The ploy by Israel to force Iran and USA into a war is clear by all to see. The question is - what can Iran extract in return for those concessions. This is high politics at play.

Netanyahu strategy is clear to see for all.

A direct line - takes Israels full control of the situation out of Israel's control. Israel cannot fully create the narrative and persceptions if both the USA and Iran can talk to each other - which was not the case before. Israel cannot control the action and reaction times to force a narrative that it owns fully now either.

Niether Iran or the USA want war, or escalation.

Lets see where this goes. In many ways, Iran is responsible for not being prepared to strike immediately, and for neglecting its own ability to defend itself, as show by virtually having no airforce to speak of, and needing emergency supplies of EW equipment.
