weather conditions in the area are extremely difficult. even with thermal and night vision equipment you are not going to have much luck

this is the Iranian section so as far as I know we can choose to speak in Persian or English.

nonetheless, that says the Iranian Red Crescent teams are 3 hours away from reaching one of the suspected sites of the crash landing
still, try to provide a translation. you're not just conversing with your fellow Iranians here. Solely Persian language should be an option for the casual discussion threads not for a live news thread like this one.

How reliable is PressTV? I'm not going to share them here but they are reporting quite different things.

I think the forum as a whole should take a decision on this - as a ruling ? ( ie admins and owners ? )

As someone who does not speak Persian, or Urdu let alone Turkish or Hindi - the utility of this forum decreases if we dont agree on a common language to exchange views and ideas.
Incorrect. The ‘language of the forum’ is not related to the language of the source. In the case of tweets, just click on translate. Other sources can be translated by a nice translator like Google.

Language is irrelevant these days given these features—especially for those who are genuinely interested and have no issues clicking on ‘translate’.

why should many users have to visit twitter then click on the translate option? it's the OP's job to provide it. 1 person put the translation so that the other 20 don't have to. this is the rule:

Use of foreign languages

PDF welcomes all users from the world; however, for ease of communication all posts should be in English. Use of other languages is acceptable, if proper translation is provided within the post if the article or material being presented is not in English (this translation should not be controversial). Secondly, in regional sections casual threads made for members to relax; however, in case of abuse the regional mod’s ruling would be final; so, please, maintain the decorum
