I agree, KF-21 is probably the best fighter India can get in a reasonable time frame before 2035, but they will probably demand unrealistic ToTs that South Korea/US would be hesitant to agree to.

Yes South Korea still need approval from the US. Kf-21 is basically a f-35 child. It's a force multiplier for tejas and Rafale. It's the next best thing if u can't get your hand on f-35. People are too quick to dismiss kf-21 but its as capable as any 4.5 generation fighters. Kf-21 is better than Tejas by a mile. India would be stupid if they don't go after kf-21.

We know that China-Pakistan relations are very friendly and China does not have many restrictions on military trade with Pakistan. We also know that China's UAV development is very fast and there are many very advanced UAVs.

But please be calm.

So far, we have found no evidence of any large-scale testing of UAV wingmen, much less any formal deployment of UAV wingmen by the PLA. We've only seen evidence of UAVs working in concert with other PLA military aircraft, not the emergence of a UAV wingman system. It will take time.

Does it make any sense to discuss “PAF is ready to procure Chinese UAV wingmen” before the J35 even arrives at PAF? We should at least wait until the Chinese UAV wingman system is fully matured and PAF already has J35 before discussing this issue.

Please focus on solving the current problem first.

None of the UAVs that PLA is currently equipped with can be used as an unmanned wingman.
GJ11 cannot be used as an unmanned wingman. Of all the UAVs announced by China so far (including planned programs), only the Dark Sword UAV and the FH-97 may be called unmanned wingmen. The development progress of these two UAVs is rather mysterious and there is no reliable information about them.

If WS 19 engine is in small batch production, then Pakistan can wait until 2026. Pakistani pilots to be fully ready on J-35 will take 6 to 8 months of training by then Pakistan can have few J-35 with WS19 engine which we can take to limits and test it like hell.

From next year, J35A(WS19) will appear in PLAAF in small batch, and it will take some time for large scale service. it will take at least 4-6+ years for PAF to get J35A(WS19) if they want to get it. But if PAF accepts J35(WS21), then the time to get it can be much earlier.

Flyable doesn’t been that it enters service. It means that it’s in the iterative developmental phase.

Amca is a meme it will not fly without an indigenous engine no better example than the shit show with GE engine delay for Tejas mk1a. People put too much faith into it, personally I think it's 2 decades away at the very least. 2035 is not a realistic timeline. Let's hope I don't have to come back to this thread in 2035

With the Korean style of doing things, I don't believe that South Korea will transfer important technology to India, or let India develop its own local electronic equipment. It's better to continue pursuing the Rafale F4/F5 fighter jets

No, it only means they are confident to show it on an airshow! As such the first test-phase has been concluded but to think it would be ready for mass-production, operational service or even export is plain naive.
