Marriyum Aurangzeb says no candidate finalised for PM slot so far​

PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that her party has not finalised a candidate for premiership thus far, adding that communication with “coalition partners” was ongoing and it will be decided with their consultation.

Speaking to Geo News, Aurangzeb said a video message released by party leader Khawaja Asif was his personal opinion and did not reflect the views of the party.

Although she did not specifically mention which video message she was referring to, Asif had told Samaa TV that Nawaz Sharif would not be PML-N’s prime ministerial candidate and instead his brother Shehbaz was the party’s choice/.

“Even he said at the end of his video that talks with coalition partners are still under way,” Aurangzeb said. She also denied rumours regarding a supposed power-sharing formula, saying an agreement had been made in principle to move forward together.

No, IMF is 100% controlled by uncle SAM and it's a veritable political/financial arm of the empire, not the bit least interested in reforming and repairing struggling economies and financial straits of a country, only furthering colonial agenda.

The looters and criminals will get the next program, which IMF and everybody in Washington knows is the bone they have to throw to sepoys and their political minions of PPP/PMLN to continue to do their bidding. The loans will roll over, all international donors will continue to maintain this farce as long as sepoys are onboard and remain loyal to the empire. A normal country would have defaulted right in the middle of PDM's tenure, but the masters are keeping the almost dead patient on ventilator.

Irrespective, we are trapped. There is no other option. Even China has told us to come to them after IMF. So no matter what anyone thinks, IMF has to happen.

And it did not go as it was expected during PDM 1.0 and IMF broke the bones during negotiations. It will be harsher still this time around.

If the top financial publications of the world like the Financial Times and The Economist highlight political instability in Pakistan, nobody will invest a penny.

The previous head duffer's plan was to print more money. There was no need to tax the retailer and of course taxing real estate, the sacred cow of sepoys was blasphemous.

The current duffer is an even bigger duffer, harkening back to his airman days for inspiration.

Honestly, I am not keen for PTI to take federal now. Unless the entire two third which people voted for is given back, which won’t be. Let them rule over the ruins and die in doing so.

Just have a strong (and noisy) opposition. Make them regret everyday.
 

SHC restrains ECP from issuing election results amidst complaints​

The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to refrain from issuing any notifications concerning the election results from any constituency until the complaints challenging the results are resolved.

The order came during a hearing presided over by Chief Justice Sindh High Court, Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi, in response to over 25 applications challenging the 2024 election results.

According to Express News, Barrister Farogh Naseem, representing MQM-P, argued that the court needed to determine the suitability of these matters for litigation. The hearing addressed concerns raised by petitioners, including Barrister Salahuddin, who claimed that successful candidates, as per Form-45 results, were later ranked second or third.

Chief Justice Abbasi acknowledged the numerous applications and urged adherence to legal processes, suggesting that re-polling might be a viable option if complaints about Form-47 arose. He commended the peaceful conduct of the election and emphasised the importance of following the law without disrupting the electoral process.
