Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

There was a very interesting thread on old forum about ballistic missiles traveling at mach 18+ are next to impossible to detect due to limitations of radar not being able to pick projectiles travelling at that speed. Wonder if this still holds or technology have caught up with this?

Shaheen series Vs THAAD/Iron Dome/Arrow1,2,3/David Sling .. that will be interesting debate.
Well if we look at their performance against Iranians, They kinda failed especially against the Kybar Shekan missile, there is a video on x, where last stage manueuvers can be seen and it safely strikes its target
Taking into Account Dr. Samar's statement on Shaheen series of missiles, Relative high speed and evasive manueuvers outside the atmosphere because of PSAC and then Terminal Evasive manueuvers (MARV).
imagine what an MARV traveling at hypersonic speed would do to Arrow 3.
Whilst arrow 3 could not handle an slow moving MARV.

I am sure after Iranian missile barrage - Pakistan will be thinking of implications and utilization of Pakistan Rocket force and conventional employment on large scale as well.

By the way if as per reports Iran fired 120 BMs in 2 hours.

our whole operational stock would be 200-350 ballistic missiles of all types (Ghaznavi/Abadali/Ghauri/Shaheen/Shaheen II)
Nah, Its 3-4 missiles per warhead, for non-mirv'ed missiles, with nuclear warhead tipped missiles there r 2-3 conventional supporting missiles launched at the target!!.
So if we go by most conservative estimates 170 warheads.
Total number of missiles will be 510-680.
Taking into account the conventional needs and launch failure and other incidents, the actual number will be in thousands to just to make sure the all the strikes take place successfully.!!!.

Recent attack of Ukraine on Russian Air Base in Crimea with ATACMS revealed again the shortcomings of S-400 to counter saturation attacks.

Ah !! Good terrorist and bad terrorists !! So when are you going to vacate Kurd and baloch land ?

Kurds and Baloch are Muslims, so are Kashmiri

The whole point of partition was not having our populations stuck with Hindus within a India full for hatred for each other

Separation is essential for peace

So who were killing who in Syria/ afghanistan/ pakistan / yemen ?

Come on man, their is plenty of videoa showing missiles getting through

Now if those missiles had been targeted towards high value targets, without a warning so U.S or UK jets could get in place and proxies launches towards Israel are you seriously saying BMs or HMs wouldn't get through and create massive damage
how many missiles getting through Israeli abm??how much damage it caused to israeli military infrastructure??

@Oscar
Can u name this thread to Shaheen III or Shaheen Series of Ballistic.
I think there should be proper thread for the strategic missiles like there was in the old pdf.

Now with the recent events, Pakistanis now know that Shaheen 3 won't do anything even if fired in 100s. Pakistani’s are literally crying in corner looking at interception rates against MRBM and cruise missile classes. Even so called "second strike" ability of Pakistan depends on cruise missiles. Plus think about the disproportionate response you guys will receive from the other end and how you'll protect your major population centres from this onslaught since you guys don't have a functional BMD system yet. BMD isn't fancy, it's a necessity, saves lives.
lol.don’t you dare to compare India’s abm with israeli abm.israeli ABM is designed with American company.and india doesn’t really have any practical ABM which can intercept Pakistani ballistic missiles.your only hope is s-400 which will not be that effective duo to quantity issue.

The issue is that the money a nation would spend on an air force, Iran is spending on missiles.

Pakistan doesn't have that luxury. Having both a massive air force the size of Pakistan's and a massive missile force the size of Iran's is expensive.

You not only have to research the technology for advanced missiles, but manufacture the missiles, and then continuously maintain them over a long period of time.

Fateh series mrls is far better and cheaper in this role upto 1000km
Plus we do have an airforce that Iran doesn't

But we shud develop some longer range conventional missiles on cheap for saturation if nothing else
Fatah series only goes upto 400km I think

@MS Sandhu What's longest range Fatah missile?
