Rafale M Deal: India and France to Fast-Track Negotiations After Elections

Don't be afraid..... even then India is a nuclear power with ICBMs.... nothing can threat Bangladesh where India is around.... sleep tight in Dhaka and even after that if you feel insecure join online Indian YOGA classes..... just relax.....
Don't worry, @UKBengali.
Khala India is the self-proclaimed savior of Bangladesh.

Few things here

1) This deal has been "fast tracked" for ages, no progress, maybe it is wishful thinking?
2) Indian elections will mean no news at the moment, Indian media will have a field day if this is announced
3) The current Rafale backlog at Dassault is huge, even if ordered next year, unlikley be in IN service for 5 years
3) 26 is a very small number. Once you take out training and maintenence birds, you will eb left with what? 10 on a carrier, at most.

This deal is just the starter or appetizer

The Main Course is the 114 MRFA along with Engine Technology deal

Dassault already has a factory in India ,which can be scaled up to meet all the pending orders

Well not really, there are so many statements made by so many people about what is happening. many saying India will not import any more jets, many argueing they need more imports.

MRFA is dead in the water, even the main jet companies no longer bothering with sending planes to Indian air shows. Go figure....

Dassault does not have a factory in India. Are you high?

Dassault Aviation does have involvement in India through a joint venture with Reliance Group, which led to the establishment of a manufacturing facility. The joint venture, known as Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL), operates a factory in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

But does "a manufacturing facility" in India means it is a production line? IMO Not and France will surely not transfer its own line for a few to India.

Again stating "will soon" means in fact decades and not yet!

Stop doubling down on BS, Dassault is manufactring nothing in India. Probably never will

Can you read your own link? They are making "casting parts" not whole airplanes.....

you did say "manufacturing nothing" though.

Its something in the middle, as part of the original offsets deal for the first batch of AF aircraft.

Full scale production line stuff needed far larger acquisition numbers to negotiate with. But now fiscally that doesnt make much sense anymore with Tejas + AMCA ecosystem capital commitments. i.e The ship has sailed, the time for it was in the 2000s with a quicker MRCA done....or a commitment to onshoring a Mirage 2000 production line instead of MRCA.
