Work is currently underway to establish a Land Forces Academy, where the basic individual course will be conducted for all new recruits, and the specialization courses will be held in the Land Forces institutes. Thus, all members of the Ground Forces will have the same basic qualifications and training.

Observation balloons

The ground forces operate a number of balloons that are used for surveillance, reconnaissance and intelligence (ISR) missions and to detect and locate projectile firing sites.

1- PSATRI Aerostat 23M balloon

It is an airship developed by the Prince Sultan Advanced Technology Research Institute (PSATRI) and entered service with the Land Forces in 2017.

The airship is designed to carry out intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, aided by its payload of electro-optical (EO)/infrared (IR) sensors, ground surveillance radar and communications systems.

2- PTDS Balloon - 74K Aerostat

The Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS) is a surveillance system designed by Lockheed Martin to provide soldiers with long-range intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), communications assistance, detection and identification of projectile firing locations, electronic intelligence (ELINT), and communications intelligence (COMINT). The contract was for (10 ) Airship systems for the Saudi ground forces in 2017.

A PTDS system uses an array of sensors to perform a wide range of operations. Sensors include MX-20 electro-optical (EO)/infrared (IR) sensors (two cameras per balloon), a surveillance radar with a range of up to 160 km, a communications intelligence system (COMINT), and a global positioning system (GPS).

This is what I'm taking about! We don't see any of this type of commemorative livery on any of the EAF aircraft. And it's not like there aren't any significant historical dates to go with.

This is great, the two-toned digital with the patriotic green.

You see @Ghostkiller , Saudiya is doing the same exact thing. They're going with the AK-103 as the standard issue for infantry except SOFs get the beautiful, shagadellic SCAR ya halawa!
