Britain has the best medical schools in the world. Indian unis are no where near British unis in rankings.

The only reason Indian doctors are being favoured is because the NHS managers want to keep salaries low by lowering standards.

Which allows Indian doctors to qualify and then get jobs based on their medical experience in India.

British doctors want that Indian experience to be excluded (during interviews) because it was not based on higher British standards.

And anyway, a country should not be importing skills it does not need.

I ask again! Why do Indian doctors emigrate?

All U.K. Got was unskilled low paid migrants from india. Now Under Shabana Mahmood her home office is now cracking big time on this Indian scam. All student and work visa applications have been cancelled from India scammers..

Don't expect any better from Burnham, nor from the Tories, nor from Reform, nor from the Greens.

Perversely, Restore are the only ones who might do the needful but they aren't winning anything and they aren't getting my vote.

There is NOBODY of sane mind who is actually willing to slam the door shut and give a middle finger to new immigrants, except me, but a life in politics pays nothing unless you're actually corrupt or can get by on side hustles!

Any country whose unis are world class won’t import “skilled labour” from the third world.

It would want its own, higher qualified, citizens, to get those jobs.

It only makes sense to import low skilled labour - as you don’t want your own kids doing those jobs.

Importing low skilled labour also helps the middle class thrive. E.g. maids, nannies, cooks. But obviously without recourse to state benefits

It should be much easier to get live in servants - as they don’t create pressure on housing

U.K. is a mess brother, because the corrupt and rich are pulling the strings doesn’t matter the party U.K. IS being wrecked by design ? You don't need to import skilled or unskilled immigrants in your country working for less when you can just get your own people to fill these positions U.K.
That's the capitalist market economy we see at work today in U.K. all thanks to late Margaret Thatcher single handily destroyed U.K. manufacturing sector and her privatisation disaster. Deregulation go for the cheapest way has wrecked the country.
