Forget about KAAN, it's impossible. Kaan is too big for ACs. Also aircraft capable aircraft needs bigger wings, and stronger structural integrity.

We just need to wait for Navalized Hürjet, as i understand it's gonna be like a brand new aircraft.
It could also be that the aircraft carrier is too small
 

KAAN will began flight testing with TF35000 in 2032 assuming there will be no delays.

It would require 2-3 years of flight test at minimum considering they gets everything right at the first attempt.

So the earliest KAAN block 30 with indigenous engine will arrive in 2035. (Again, assuming there will be no delays)

With the necessary modifications in place, it is technically possible for the KAAN Fighter Jet to take off from 300 m MUGEM Aircraft Carrier
Wouldn't be just better build first a two seat KAAN just to improve their capability as electronic attack fighter (like Su34 or EF18) and capability to operate wingmans?.

IMO manned aircrafts for carriers are being slowly outdated. UCAVs and smallers ships of LHDs size can make 80% of a manned aircraft embarked.
The other 20% can be achieved with very long range missiles, cruise, ballistics both hypersonics.
 
Back then, Pakistan reportedly transferred technologies related to the JF-17 Thunder, jointly developed by China and Pakistan, to Türkiye, providing significant support for the development of Türkiye’s aerospace industry. This reportedly caused dissatisfaction in China and led China to restrict and delay the delivery of J-35 fighter jets to Pakistan.

If that is indeed the case, Pakistan should continue sharing relevant J-10C technologies with Türkiye, further supporting the aerospace industry of its fellow Muslim brotherly nation and contributing to the broader Muslim world.


If that was the case why did Pakistan not started ther own project, when you spread bs make it like it is acceptable.
 
Pakistan should abandon the J‑35. Since both Pakistan and Turkey are Muslim‑majority countries, it should support its brother‑nation and instead seek to procure the Kaan fighter jet.
The Kaan is not available for sale or export and won't for another 10-15 years.

What Türkiye needs to do is develop an unmanned tanker Aircraft similar to the American MQ-25 Stingray .... Turkiye can do it from ANKA-3

A refueling probe can be added to the nose section of the navalized KAAN, concealed within the fuselage. This probe only emerges when in air refueling is required

Aircraft cannot fly off the deck of the Russian carriers in a full load and can't launch AWACS and ELINT to coordinate air battles. Air Logistic without transport is also complicated.

Its going to be a carrier thats not really going to be as effective as a Flattop Catapult carrier like USS Kitty Hawk, which wasn't nuclear and had catapults. But lets see, this is more long term stuff. When Turkey has bridged the Nuclear gap, it could be something pursued.
 
It doesn't have to be EMALS, you can build steam catapults.

but if one is building proper Aircraft carriers, CATOBAR is a must, whether the french design or the Chinese design or the US design. You cannot launch aircraft with significant munitions off a STOBAR carrier, its one of the failures of the Russian design, the Su-33 could not launch with its full load, and only light aircraft could be used. its a severe limitation of sorties and the amount of air power one can put on.

I think Turkey can go down the French route, and long term should pursue that.

The French catapult relies on the US technology in both steam and EMALS.

And the US AC EMALS was designed for the nuclear supercarrier, and it relies on the flying wheel as the energy storage.

China's DC EMALS is suitable for both conventional and nuclear, but it relies on the gas turbine.

Turkey can go to the route for the 60,000 - 70,000 tons gas turbine powered carrier with the DC EMALS.

Steam Catapults can be used on Conventional carriers as well the USS Kitty Hawk(retired in 2009) was conventionally powered and used steam catapults. Its easier with Nuclear b/c it already creates steam but its not a necessity. Though MMM-E is right, EMALS would be the right choice, but it would cost money. Lets see. The design for the current carrier is already frozen as Conventional STOBAR, perhaps the one that comes after will use a Nuclear reactor with EMALS.

The steam catapult needs to be paired with conventional carrier with boilers or nuclear powered carrier, not very flexible.

The AC EMALS from the US can only be paired with nuclear powered carrier.

The DC EMALS from China can be paired with both gas turbine conventional carrier or nuclear powered carrier.

However, the conventional carrier only carry 1-2 EMALS catapults at max, if you want to go 3-4 EMALS catapults, the nuclear powered carrier would be the optimal choice.

The twin-seat version should be usually developed based on the optimization of the single-seat version, but the single-seat version to be deployed and maturely tested as the pre-condition.

The J-20S was developed after the deployment of the regular J-20, and Russia also develops the SU-57D after the development of the single-seat SU-57.

BTW, I think more middle powers could deploy more LHD like the Type 076 that can carry 1-2 EMALS catapults, and it can launch the UAV like the GJ-21 that can launch both a2a missiles or precision-guided munitions.

That has more to do with US aircraft carriers already being nuclear, not a matter of type of tech. Both DC and AC can be used in nuclear and nonnuclear solutions. Thought obviously its more efficient with a nuclear reactor.
