I think most Indian analysts would agree that if Pakistan does come out of the China camp, it is far more likely to lead to a detente between India and China, rather than India and Pakistan.

It is a three body problem where only two can have good relations with each other. In the early years after Independence , the Americans tried to patch things up between India and Pakistan to enlist them both in the alliance against communism and , I suspect, Trump may have something similar in mind, though neither India or Pakistan would be interested in my opinion , India especially so - unless the Pakistani government of the day makes concessions that would be politically suicidal.

Likewise , any improvement in India-China relations will likely come at Pakistan's expense .

You are smoking some good stuff dude. China Pakistan relations are set in stone. Even if India decided to lick Chinese boots, China Pakistan relations will remain unbreakable. A reasonable deal with Trump's USA is just a deal. Relations with China are utmost important for Pakistan.

On a different note, I find it hilarious how you Indians are now looking for an escape route after things have soured with Trump. Suddenly, China is your saviour. Even more hilarious, you think that by cosying up with China, you can somehow break the bond between China and Pakistan. You Indians are delusional.

If everything else is equal I will take a 1% decrease at work. For major textile importers that is a big saving on the bottom line. If Pak textile quality is as good as others (I am not an textile industry expert), this should see more orders, Bangladesh is the main competitor here.

Believe me, I too have worried about Pakistan going so deep into the China camp that Pakistan may not be able to come to some 'just peace' with India in future even if that future is nowhere on the horizon right now.
China has been good for Pakistan and vice versa and may that remain like that. But China is not a true 'neighbor' of Pakistan: A tiny sliver of shared border through a very hostile climate. India shares a long border with Pakistan and a long history as well as considerably many things more than Pak China share. And we should never lose sight of those aspect of the three countries despite all the good and bad we see now.

How can we EVER have peace with india when indians gleefully celebrate the death of Pakistani civilians when a Pakistani plane crashes or when Pakistani civilians can are killed by the indian military as in May 2025? USA gave India preference in trade and investment over Pakistan. India being a rabid hater of Pakistan usually put these type of conditions on trading partners. And it worked for last 20 years. Pakistan was essentially shut out of USA, the biggest economy in the world. But now USA is asking India to make same kind of sacrifice and stop buying Russian oil.

Which is why I believe Modi will surrender one way or another as USA have them by balls. All your low tech goods and IT can slowly be shifted away. Even 5% reduction will make Indian economy enter recession.
