USA Deportations news

Well Japan does not have that much real estate, it's quite saturated not as much as Hong Kong (I hear it is super saturated with humans)

The reality is Human Population is expanding tremendously, while there is land available , everyone want to live in developed cities which creates saturation.

Illegal migration just puts it all on Steroids as city services can't keep up with undocumented residents, every country has a "Limit" of how many people they can accommodate

The current anti Migrant drive is never before seen initiative at least in modern times

Even in USA there are many cities in inner USA which are complete towns with buildings but they have population of 4-5 people , because every one moved out of the town so these small towns eventually become inhabited as no one is earning a living or paying tax in these small towns

I think the Anti "illegal" migrant drive is really fueled by things being a bit out of control , with undocumented residents

USA is a massive land mass , if the policy existed they could have accommodated people , it was all dependent on elections and policy makers. In term of Land and resources , USA is quite big Landmass most of it is "Empty"

Anti Migration Drive are not uncommon
  • Saudia does it each year after Hajj ensure vistors leave on time
  • Pakistan does it from time to time
  • All countries have rules about illegal migrants

In reversal, Gavin Newsom proposes cutting back on health care benefits for undocumented immigrants

California Gov. Gavin Newsom unveiled a budget plan Wednesday that seeks to cut back on health care benefits for undocumented immigrants.

It's a stark reversal of the Democratic governor’s promises of universal health care for all, regardless of their immigration status.

In a lengthy budget presentation, Newsom said the proposal would help to balance the state's budget, which has seen a multibillion-dollar shortfall that he has blamed on President Donald Trump's tariffs, as well as growing costs from higher enrollment in the state’s Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal.

Newsom's plan, which will need to be approved by the Democratic-led Legislature, comes as Trump’s administration has said it will investigate other aid programs California offers to undocumented immigrants.

Fact sheets on the proposal provided by Newsom’s office ahead of the presentation said that he would freeze enrollment in his 2025-26 budget for “undocumented adults” to receive the full scope of Medi-Cal. Newsom’s office said the changes would apply only to new applicants over 19 years old, that existing enrollees would not be kicked off their plans and that the freeze would not apply to people enrolled in limited plans, like ones that specifically cover emergency or pregnancy services. The freeze would begin in 2026.

The proposed changes also include a new $100 monthly premium for adults 19 and older with “unsatisfactory immigration status.” Newsom’s office said that “refers to people whose immigration status makes them ineligible for federally funded Medicaid, including people with lawful status and the undocumented.” The added premiums would begin in 2027.

The fact sheets from Newsom's office also said he needed to take “corrective action” due to a $16 billion shortfall in state revenues that it blamed on “Trump’s pendulum swings on tariffs,” as well as the ballooning costs from higher enrollment in the Medi-Cal program that Newsom's administration had expanded.

The plan also comes as congressional Republicans are advancing a bill that would slash Medicaid funding by 10 percent to states that, like California, provide health care coverage to undocumented immigrants.

"The challenge that we face this year and the challenge we will face for many years, is on growth of our Medicaid system, Medi-Cal," Newsom said Wednesday. He said his approach "was not to kick people off and not to roll back the expansion, but to level set on what we can do and what we can’t do."

Newsom also blamed the budget shortfall on Trump, saying that "California is under assault" and the "United States of America, in many respects is under assault because we have a president that’s been reckless in terms of assaulting growth engines" that have slowed the economy.

Newsom denied that his administration was "cutting or rolling back" the program, saying that, "We’re just capping it, particularly for those without documentation."

Newsom’s expansion of Medi-Cal has cost far more than his administration anticipated. Earlier this year, Newsom made consecutive loan requests to help fund rising costs that were specifically the product of increased enrollment in the offered programs by undocumented immigrants living in California.

Newsom’s office said the moves proposed in his budget would save the state an estimated $5.4 billion by the 2028-29 budget year.

The proposals mark a significant departure from Newsom’s ground-breaking plan to expand government-provided health care for all low-income adults, including immigrants living in the country illegally. Those expansions have caused costs to balloon by billions of dollars in recent years.

He acknowledged on Wednesday the role that the higher-than-expected enrollment played in his new proposal to scale back the benefits.

“Clearly we’re not in a position to continue to do as much as we wish to do and want to do,” Newsom said.

A statement printed on materials provided by Newsom’s office claimed that the changes would help his administration keep its commitment and that the governor “remains committed to protecting” immigrant communities.

Newsom, widely viewed as a potential contender for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination, has tacked to the right on a series of notable policy issues in recent months.

Earlier this week, Newsom called on California cities to adopt policies that would clear their streets of homeless encampments “without delay.”

And during a podcast interview with conservative commentator and Trump ally Charlie Kirk, Newsom infuriated some allies in the LGBTQ community when he said he opposes trans athletes competing in women’s and girls’ sports.

Two things:

1. He has presidential ambitions. You can bet your last dollar on it.
2. The bastard already has this worked out with the Democrats. They hold a supermajority there.

They will go through all this bukake theater, he will veto it, they will override and everyone gets what they want.

California is a fiscal mess. Until the voters wake up and start voting out Democrats and replacing with fiscally responsible representatives, the state will continue to degrade.

I am even speculating my own BU will pull out of California eventually. We could easily set up shop in Las Vegas and still be able to services the SoCal market just fine.

Gruesomes goin be da next POTUS folks........yous all know theys groomin him already.....

He da chosen one!

Yous know it.........

Budget airline begins deportation flights for ICE with start of Arizona operations

PHOENIX (AP) — A budget airline that serves mostly small U.S. cities began federal deportation flights Monday out of Arizona, a move that’s inspired an online boycott petition and sharp criticism from the union representing the carrier’s flight attendants.

Avelo Airlines announced in April it had signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security to make charter deportation flights from Mesa Gateway Airport outside Phoenix. It said it will use three Boeing 737-800 planes for the flights.

The Houston-based airline is among a host of companies seeking to cash in on President Donald Trump’s campaign for mass deportations.

Congressional deliberations began last month on a tax bill with a goal of funding, in part, the removal of 1 million immigrants annually and housing 100,000 people in U.S. detention centers. The GOP plan calls for hiring 10,000 more U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and investigators.

Details of Avelo agreement with ICE not disclosed

Avelo was launched in 2021 as COVID-19 still raged and billions of taxpayer dollars were propping up big airlines. It saves money mainly by flying older Boeing 737 jets that can be bought at relatively low prices. And it operates out of less-crowded and less-costly secondary airports, flying routes that are ignored by the big airlines. It said it had its first profitable quarter in late 2023.

Andrew Levy, Avelo’s founder and chief executive, said in announcing the agreement last month that the airline’s work for ICE would help the company expand and protect jobs.

“We realize this is a sensitive and complicated topic,” said Levy, an airline industry veteran with previous stints as a senior executive at United and Allegiant airlines.

Avelo did not grant an interview request from The Associated Press.

Financial and other details of the Avelo agreement — including destinations of the deportation flights — haven’t publicly surfaced. The AP asked Avelo and ICE for a copy of the agreement, but neither provided the document. The airline said it wasn’t authorized to release the contract.

Several consumer brands have shunned being associated with deportations, a highly volatile issue that could drive away customers. During Trump’s first term, authorities housed migrant children in hotels, prompting some hotel chains to say that they wouldn’t participate.

1. Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) – 8 U.S.C. § 1324 (Harboring or Shielding Undocumented Immigrants)

  • § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iii): Makes it unlawful to "harbor, shield, or conceal" an undocumented immigrant from detection, knowing or recklessly disregarding their immigration status.
  • Potential Violation: If universities actively conceal undocumented students' identities or provide them with tools to evade ICE (e.g., "red cards" instructing non-cooperation), this could be construed as shielding them from enforcement.
2. 8 U.S.C. § 1373 (Information Sharing with ICE)

  • Prohibits state and local governments (including public universities) from restricting communication with federal immigration authorities about an individual’s immigration status.
  • Potential Violation: If universities adopt policies refusing to share immigration-related data with ICE unless compelled by a court order, this could conflict with § 1373.
3. 8 U.S.C. § 1644 (Restrictions on Limiting Federal Immigration Enforcement)

  • Bars state/local entities from preventing employees from sharing immigration status information with ICE.
  • Potential Violation: Similar to § 1373, if university policies restrict staff from cooperating with ICE, this may violate federal law.
4. Federal Funding Conditions (8 U.S.C. § 1621)

  • Limits certain public benefits for undocumented immigrants unless affirmatively provided by state law.
  • Potential Violation: If universities use federal funds (e.g., Title IV financial aid) to support undocumented students in ways not permitted by state law, this could raise legal concerns.
5. Material Support Statutes (18 U.S.C. § 371 – Conspiracy; 8 U.S.C. § 1324)

  • If university officials actively coordinate with groups facilitating non-compliance with ICE (e.g., distributing "know your rights" materials specifically designed to obstruct enforcement), they could be accused of conspiracy to violate immigration laws.
6. Obstruction of Justice (18 U.S.C. § 1505, § 1510)

  • Prohibits obstructing federal investigations or enforcement actions.
  • Potential Violation: Encouraging students to refuse cooperation with ICE (e.g., "do not answer questions") could be interpreted as obstruction.
7. False Statements to Federal Agents (18 U.S.C. § 1001)

  • If university officials lie to ICE or withhold required information, they could face charges under this statute.
8. Federal Grant Compliance (e.g., Clery Act, Title IX)

  • Universities receiving federal funds must comply with federal reporting requirements. If they knowingly misrepresent or withhold information related to immigration enforcement, they could risk funding eligibility.

CSUN is also instructing students to report “ICE sighting on campus” and sharing guidelines explaining what to do if you are an illegal immigrant approached by immigration officers.

The university is providing “red cards” that direct illegal immigrants on how to act if approached by law enforcement and instructing illegal immigrant students to “give the red card to the agent,” per a social media post.

“Do not open the door…do not answer any questions…do not sign anything,” the red card reads.

California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) will host an “Undocu Recognition Celebration” May 3.
