Don't be too certain. Stranger things have happened. IF for whatever reason Khalistan is created, they would immediately be strategically important to the West and have their backing. This would be to the MASSIVE detriment to the countries that would border it. NOT just india.

Before Khalistan happening, there are more chances of many other smaller countries in the neighborhood from other nations.

Anyway, I see no use for USA to put effort as Bhutan Nepal and many other smaller countries already exist if USA they want to use them.

Actually, they can get a much better base in Thailand, Malaysia or Singapore. Andaman Nicorbar are far off still.

They already have a bsae id Diago Garcia in Indian Ocean but they need some base within a radius of 500 miles or below from malacka starits for there other plans and they already have presence in Indonasia and bali and malasia and small out posts in multiple islands chains of these nations laong with some key starategic points in Jawa and Sumatra since WW2
