Hoa Phat is probably one of the top 2 or 3 biggest private companies of Viet Nam, it is doing very well for both its shareholders and the construction industry. But Hoa Phat is basically a construction steel company; it has no R&D to research into high-strength steel that can be used for other civilian industries (like diesel engine) or military applications. Our high-strength metallurgy research will rest solely on the shoulders of the military
According to its website, Hoa Phat, aside from construction steel, like rebar, also produces engineering grade steels, like JIS S45C (in Vietnam, it is popularly referred to as C45), which can be used to manufacture automobile axle shafts, drive shafts and transmission components, or low stress engine crankshafts, and other engineering components.

According to AI answer, Vietnam is one of dozen countries who are capable to manufacture steel used for automobile tire bead wire, thank to Hoa Phat. Vietnam is the only South East Asian country capable to produce such steel.

That’s interesting, first image of mini VCM cruise missile with rocket booster being mounted on aircraft. It’s long speculated Vietnam develops airborne VCM cruise missiles for the Su30 squadrons.

The aim to develop missiles that can be produced domestically, having capability similar to other militaries. Just in case should it come to a blow.

I see. I read that the psi inside the chamber of the 125 mm artillery barrel can be from 70,000 to 90,000 psi. Does that mean we can produce diesel engine block for automotive now?

This picture first appeared at least 5 years ago. After that, no further updates have been made, even via the unofficial platform like fb; hence, everyone pretty much thought it was likely a failed project. However, just a few months ago, they leaked a photo of that BTM-250 on the hardpoint of the Su-30, and they bring up this photo again as a "reminder" ....which makes me believe that we have finally break the technical hurdle of integrating our VCM air-launched missiles on the UAV and Su-30.

Ah ok. I have seen numerous pictures of VCM missiles including with rocket boosters but I missed that news they were trying mounting on aircraft.

The car seems a special version made for India, likely imported from Vietnam, not locally produced in India yet.

Based on the available information, Viettel was initially working on several versions of the VCM missiles simultaneously, including the air-launched version. The shore-based and ship-borne versions have been inducted into service, and we are spamming them now. The land-attack version, UAV, and Su-30 air-launch version still need some fine-tuning and are not ready yet. Don't be surprised if one day you see a submarine-launched and anti-submarine version of the VCM missile.
