What the Indian Air Force ought to do if Narendra Modi had a Spine

India should look to regional partners and develop indigenous capacity.
Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines and Sri Lanka are potential regional partners for India. India could develop fighter jets in cooperation with some of these countries. Some have already purchased BrahMos missiles, while others are in talks.

BrahMos can be utilised to its full potential when air-launched from platforms such as the Tejas Mk1/Mk2, the upcoming GHATAK UCAV, CATS loyal wingman drones and the Su-30MKI, or deployed from Indian submarines and warships. Malaysia already operates the Su-30MKM and is a potential customer for India's upgrade package.

The satellite-based navigation and guidance capabilities required by BrahMos also highlight the importance of India's NavIC navigation system. These countries can have their own satellites in space using Indian launch vehicles, but bringing the entire region under a common network would be far more effective and cost-efficient.

There are several other areas in which these countries can cooperate, including artillery and combat vehicles. However, missiles, aircraft, warships and submarines require an intensive level of data-link integration. Satellites are becoming increasingly important for network-centric warfare capabilities, supporting everything from missiles to fighter jets and drones.

Something huge is missing and they can't be considered bright if you have decades after decades...
In my view, all groups of people are essentially the same; there is no such thing as one group having a higher or lower level of intelligence than another. It simply depends on where you choose to direct your energy.

For any given population or nation, the direction in which its collective energy is focused is typically guided by its leadership.

If the primary energy of a group is channeled into social maneuvering, then naturally, few people will remain focused on getting actual work done. Consequently, the overall level of practical productivity will be very low—even though the volume of public discourse generated by such a group may be quite high.

In many countries, leaders favor using hollow, tedious, yet stirring slogans to rally the public. They employ religion—or modes of thought akin to religious logic—to galvanize the masses. People live their lives immersed in illusions, inhabiting a rich, elaborate inner world; yet, in reality, the situation is the exact opposite.

While this approach may prove highly effective in the short term, what about the long term? Its side effects only serve to further deepen a nation’s poverty and weakness.

Being overweight and being physically strong are not the same thing!

If I were Modi, I would openly admit that the weaknesses of the Indian Air Force are structural and systemic. The Indian Air Force lags behind in terms of pilots, training, logistics, and warfare systems, and it is difficult to make up for the gap in the short term with military spending.

So I will adopt asymmetric combat tactics to avoid system confrontation. I will no longer engage in aerial combat with PAF, but will use the cost of purchasing fighter jets to purchase AD such as S-400, and use AD to block the sky where the combat zone is not very wide. Then countless suicide drones and Brahmos missiles were used to attack airports in Pakistan.

This is the tactic that PAF fears the most, because PAF have not FB. But Modi will not use this tactic because we Chinese value the administrative principle of "实事求是(seeking truth from facts)", while Indians need to please populism.

This is not true, every nation has different embedded cultures

When you have a wildly stratified society that persists today that's there for deep historical reasons

When you have a more rules abiding society that frowns on breaking the norm that consensus view formed over time

When you have a grand national narrative based on civilizational glory, lament, revenge, rebirth and then glory again that comes from historical experience

Leader's channel thr energies already existing but they can go in different directions because all are formed in different circumstances and you need luck as well

But why?it's for a reason

That comes from somewhere, a national psyche emerges from deep roots
