What is Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs?
According to Maslow (1943, 1954), human needs were arranged in a hierarchy, with physiological (survival) needs at the bottom, and the more creative and intellectually oriented ‘self-actualization’ needs at the top.
Where do you stand?
I start Monday at self actualisation
By Friday I am at the bottom
Modern life
No foundations
Lucky you, more time to self actualiseI'm finding a 4 day work week working better for me in my 50s.
Lucky you, more time to self actualise
This honestly sounds sinister below
Just earn enough to live, rent, don't have kids, too expensive, then please die.
Workers could get right to four-day week
Labour is considering giving people more power to choose flexible working arrangements.www.bbc.co.uk
I have tons to do.
Catch up on my sleep.
Spend time with my kids. That is not just late evenings.
Chill with friends.
Ride my bike.
Take the wife out for a drive sans kids. A dinner too.
Wash and polish my bikes.
Get the bikes worked on at the workshop.
Maintenance on my cycles if needed.
Play with my dogs.
Work out, build some man muscle.
Work is ok to drive yourself when you are younger. If you haven't made it in your 40s, its unlikely you are in your 50s. Put work into auto pilot and live your life.
Cheers, Doc
