It seems like Iran has made great progress in development of air defense systems

Next phase is development of a very longe range Air Defense System that can take out aerial refueling tankers and AWACS and with ABM, and ASAT capability (S-500 equivalent)
Majid (come before Azarakhsh)
Dezful (to be put between Azarakhsh and 9th of day)
Tactical Sayyad , something like Arman but with PESA
15th of khordad (between Arman and Mehran)
Bavar-373 (to be put after Mehran-2 with its 400+km range)
your data on 3rd of khordad is too out dated it can reach up to 200km

now this raise the question , why they just didn't use Aras-2 and made it more compatible with mountainous area

I think Azkarash is intended as a cheap system mostly for export and minor point defense.

Could park these outside remote Iranian military facilities to protect against quadcopters and small suicide drones or anything not giving off large thermals.

missing Majid which would fall between Azaraksh and 9 Dey in terms of range (likely around 15-20KM)

you are showing only IRGC AD systems?

I don't think that photo is Mehran-2, for Mehran-2 vs Mehran-1 only the missile is different not the TEL

3rd Khordad can reach 200km range now, not 70km.

you can also include Dezful and Zoubin (and 15 Khordad, Bavar 373 etc if you include IAIO AD systems)

aras is all terrain that truck I don't knew the spec but its look scream urban area and paved way . honestly i don't like if they want to use it near were i live to protect a base from quad copter attacks and if its against threat like shahed-136 then i ask why they let to come that much inside the country . don't forget everything go up must come down and a missile that size made a lot of things that must come down against slow not maneuvering quad copters i rather they use radar or e/o controlled gun, remember last month that Ukraine air defense missile fall on some guy car

Majid is longer range than Azaraksh (15KM)
Correct me if I am wrong, but Majid is shorter range than Azarakash. It is based in AD-08 (export designation) for 8 km maximum.

Anyway Azarakash it is better because it has a search radar (gives all weather interception). But Majid would be better for naval aplications (missile have it´s own sealing case, unlike Azarakash).

On the other hand both systems are great. They can be easily deployed via C130 and Il-76. It is very important that point because even Russia doesn´t have that deployable short-range systems. I really doubt a massive Pantsir S1 being deployed so easily aboard a Il-76 in a unpaved landstrip.

I think people are confusing maximum acquisition range (15km) and maximum interception range (8km)

Iran unveiled the first fully indigenous Arman missile defense system. This complex has already been shown before and even took part in exercises. The Arman anti-missile system was a further development of the Khordad-15 air defense system. The Arman air defense system combines both a launcher and a radar station; previously, a separate truck was used for the radar. By combining missiles with radar on one platform, we increased the mobility and speed of deployment of the complex; it is ready for work in three minutes. The Arman air defense system is equipped with three missiles and a radar with an active phased array; there can be an option without it. The Arman anti-missile system is capable of detecting targets at a distance of up to 180 km and hitting them at a distance of up to 120 km, simultaneously firing at 6 of them.

With such logic than Iron Dome must have people dieing left and right from interceptor debris.

Near killing of 3 people here from only one interceptor debris

His narrative of putting a big number of interceptor is nonsensical and inconvenient on every aspect

with iron dome they do , 70km away
majid and azarakhsh just 10km away within city limit

I've been thinking about the purchase of the Azarakhsh foreign built truck -- German/Turkish. It makes ECONOMIC sense to buy a 'simple' item if it's readily available AND if you can make it by yourself easily. However, my concern is that is Iran mentally there? I fear relapse into buying foreign because is easier but at the expense of internal technological and economic development. Especially in light of the language IRI officials often use that belies leaning towards foreign purchasing: "We tried to buy it but they didn't sell it so we built it ourselves".

I think Majid's system is better with this Gatling

Iran already has a more efficient version of that called Skyguard (radar and optical guided AA guns chained together).

If you are going to build an a CRAM (counter rocket, artillery, mortar) system it’s value intercepting CMs and PGMs and fast moving drones drops compared to AA guns IMO. AAs can cover more of the sky and at higher altitude.

CRAMs are good for mostly protecting against insurgent level attacks. .
