No, Mujib said 30 lakhs.
Perhaps Mujib forgot that 3 million is 30 lakhs not 3 lakhs! Or who knows he simply just exaggerated, like 25-30 millions of houses demolished!

However I won't go hard on him! Because since he is a Bangladeshi, so by default emotional!

After all he wasn't a deity that awami league nowadays try to portray !

Yeah we did a nuclear attack on bd like Hiroshima So that much people died
Did USA / China lend you the nuclear weapons? Why you guys didn't attack Delhi with the NUKE instead of Dhaka? India had no NUKE that time , so you would win the war easily! :ROFLMAO:

The 3 million was the result of a mistake by the Pak journalist Anthony Masacarenhas. He translated 3 lakhs as 3 million- and the urban legend stuck. This is not of course to belittle the tragedy in any manner.

Yep!

Mujib wanted a confederation of Pakistan.

Which would contain Bangladesh but without an independent military or foreign policy.
But will your iconic lady Sheikh Hasina agree with your statement? She is very much pro India , isn't she? And isn't anti Pakistan rhetoric bread and butter of her politics?

So you admit that she isn't worthy daughter of her father? 😉

Its happening in UP, actually. In isolated incidences. If India becomes really extremist, it will happen more often as a movement. Right now its just few isolated incidences of mass conversion.

PS : Let me be clear, its not something I endorse or promote or even condone, just saying that it has happened before and is happening now. As a movement, I do not see any party really pushing for it.
I don't know how is it possible though! I always thought Hinduism doesn't accept converts!

This isn't Bangladesh mate , our country is currently the Ark of Noah!
Don't believe me? Here is the evidence from Hasina and her Moulovi league!
( few minutes , and sorry Bengali only, but the moulovi clearly stated that Allah saved mankind on this ark)

So dare you criticise Bangladesh while it's under the rule of Noah's Ark? 🤔

No, Mujib said 30 lakhs.

If he did, then it was unrealistically inflated to either garner international sympathy or in line with Indian wishes or both.

For comparison - we can look at the genocide Israel committing now. Even after levelling Gaza to ground for last 6 months, the official death toll is 32,000 at this moment. Although it will probably double once all the deadbodies are recovered under the rubble. Not to mention, the dead bodies IDF is also burying in secret.

In any case, West Pakistan did not have the fire power that Israel posseses in 1971. Nor did they have enough troops to conduct a genocide on the scale of 3 million. Bangladeshi Leftist/Secular/Pro-India so-called "intellectuals" often conveniently ignore these points. Even the Nazis took a period of 6 years to kill millions.

Of course West Pakistani troops and pro-West Pakistani nationalists did commit war crimes in the form of killing civilians and raping. There is no way anyone can refute that. But it was no where near the absurd claim of 3 million deaths.

This has been used as brainwash the Bangladeshis since 1971 to ensure there is a permanent hatred between Bangladeshis and Pakistanis. You will see Bangladeshis of all age group blindly parroting the "3 million" killed line without ever trying to understand that it was logistically impossible for Pakistani forces to kill 3 million people in that short span of time.

It was very easy. https://tribune.com.pk/article/97173/the-forgotten-legacy-of-black-september-50-years-on

Same Pak army killed tens of thousands of Palestinians in just one night.

Didn't watch the video, but Dirty, overcrowded and noisy are the adjectives I will use for Dhaka city. There is none that if you go to th countryside. From the title of the video, clearly looks like an overexaggeration to term the entire country as such.

No it wasn't.

Did you take into consideration factors such as the size of the two locations (i.e. a country vs a strip of land), the number of combatants present? For your information there were more troops present on the Jordanian side than what West Pakistan had in an entire country.
