Of course because attacking Israel, is attacking America.
Iran’s strategy was never a direct war with Israel it was a suffocation strategy. The goal was to build a ring of fire around Israel until Israel implodes from its social demographic issues and America loses its superpower status under its massive debt burden and a rising China. It was a game of patience.
The ring of fire compromised of Hezbollah, Hamas, Assad, Iraq, Yemen and as a future project Jordan.
However, Israel got a gift from Hamas who went suicidal and destroyed themselves in Oct 2023. Assad couldn’t reunify the country and neither Russia nor Iran had tens of billions of dollars to prop him up under brutal Western sanctions, so Syria fell under economy collapse same way Venezuela did. The military and officials turned on their leader and stopped fighting.
Right then and there the ring of strategy fell apart as Israel poked a hole in two fronts and went on the counter offensive. The rest is history and doesn’t need explaining.
But Iran at one point was patrolling the Golan heights and the Lebanon/Israel border. So it’s impressive a country that nearly 1800KM away was able to patrol Israel’s borders. Can Saudi Arabia say that? Can Qatar say that? Can Turkey say that? Can Pakistan say that? No. Not even Saddam (the strongest Arab leader in recent history) could say that.
Neither Pakistan or Turkey would attack, both have serious issues in being in a sustained war. U.S. prevented an LNG tanker from going to Pakistan. What did Pakistan do about it? Nothing.
Do we really think Pakistan is going to war with Israel when it has to borrow money from IMF and Arab countries just to survive? Do we think Erodgan of Turkey is going to go to war with Israel when the Turkish Lira has lost 99% of its value against the dollar? When they have had to sell tons of gold on open market to keep the economy alive?
Neither Turkey nor Pakistan has the war chest or energy independence for such a move.
You can point to your fighter jets and your missiles and your fancy weaponary, but none of that matters if you don’t have money and energy to feed your war machine. War runs on molecules and gold, not weapons. Before the war, Putin had amassed a war chest of nearly 500B dollars. Russia can feed its war machine with its own oil and natural gas. That is why Russia is able to fight indefinitely.
Pakistan and Turkey have neither of these. And in case of Iran it may have the energy independence to supply its war machine, but lacks the needed war chest for a sustained conflict.
I truly appreciate your perspective on Iran. Your insights contribute significantly to forming a comprehensive understanding of the situation in Iran, even though I may not fully agree with all your points.
However, your comments regarding Turkey reflect a misunderstanding of the country. Iran's military doctrine is fundamentally based on enduring damage and practicing 'strategic patience,' which is not the case for Turkey (or Pakistan for that matter). The depreciation of our currency was a result of a (stupid) deliberate decision made by Erdogan himself to win the presidential election, which will likely lead to his removal from office in the next election. Very ironic because for the first time during his political career, his foreign policy is yielding positive results in Europe, Russia, US, China, the Gulf and even Iran. He is winning literally everywhere except at home.
Also, just because Turkey has not taken military action in Gaza does not imply that we are incapable of doing so. During the height of the Cold War, Turkey did intervene militarily in Cyprus and established a new Turkish state on "White", "Christian", "European" territory. Additionally, Turkey's gold reserves have been fluctuating but have shown an upward trend for several years, meaning: these trades are not something unheard of in Turkey. You just fell for the social media hype.

Turkey may not have abundant energy resources, but it has a highly diversified energy supply, having pipelines from Russia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Iran, and soon from Syria and Turkmenistan/Kazakhstan. Additionally, Turkey is home to Europe's largest battery storage projects and has rapidly expanding solar and wind power capacities, along with nearly completed nuclear power stations. While some Iranians may dismiss Turkey out of misplaced pride, the reality is that many of the initiatives you, PG, and Shapurll mentioned as necessary for Iran in the past and present are already being implemented in Turkey to strengthen its deterrence capabilities. Just look at Turkey's air defense program which on its own is nothing short of a revolution. The country is going to have one of the world's best AD networks on the planet in a couple years.
There are other layers, too. Turkey's strategic geographic position and its influence over/relationship with Europe place it in a completely different situation than Iran or any other Middle Eastern country.
Well, I appreciate your perspective as an Iranian nationalist, especially given the historical "rivalry" between Turkey and Iran; it is a window into a part of the Iranian society that I find very interesting. However, there are numerous instances where your views on Turkey are factually inaccurate. Let's be honest, your analysis is influenced by an Iranian supremacist viewpoint on top of being an American with not much sense for European politics, which is vital in all matters concerning Israel in our context. Many Muslims/Middle Easterners don't understand/overlook this fact. I could go on but I know you won't change your opinion even if faced with hard facts, however, all of these doesn't mean Turkey is invincible.
Our vulnerabilities may not be apparent to outsiders at first sight. That's all. To clarify, Israel will never launch an attack on Turkey, neither now nor in the next decade. Militarily speaking, we are too heavy for them. Even Trump (!!!) doesn't follow Satanyahoo's wishes with regards to Ankara.
However, Turkish society could easily become distracted and overly focused on its own issues with the help of foreign powers while other countries establish "irreversible realities" around us. I am not bragging here but you need to be objective and look at the last 15 years of Turkey's foreign policy, military, defence technology, industrial base vs. Iran/Saudi Arabia/PGCC/Egypt's.
If the absence of sickness is health, then the lack of missiles and drones striking one's territory represents power in the Middle East 2026.
