BD infrastructure by China is not free gift to BD it's Chinese debt trap and even if such infrastructure gets destroyed in war China doesn’t loose anything because BD will still have to repay loan to China..... China won't give any concessions just because BD fought a war with Burma.... if BD fails to repay then we will see a port or submarine base and surrounding lands go under Chinese control.... in each and every case its a win win for China....

And not only infrastructure Burma can bomb tourism centers in cox Bazar, Chittagong can haul shipping lines near coco islands itself..... just daily sorties by Flanker-Fulcrum combo, JF-17 Thunders over population centers will be enough to cause a panic among BD population.....

War between Bangladesh & Myanmar is unlikely.

In a hypothetical scenario, if the war happens then Bangladesh will win. Though Myanmar has much better equipment and better airforce but the only decisive factor is that Myanmar military is badly trapped inside. You cannot fight both inside and at the borders at the same time. It will become a nightmare for Myanmar military to deal with it. Their deployments currently are accordingly with the rebel groups. If they start deploying troops at borders then not only the routes will be targetted but they will become vulnerable from the territories within. The rebel groups are doing some serious damages to Myanmar military and taking lot of territories. The myanmar military junta is losing its control & grip. A war with a another country will be a final blow at this stage. It would be great for myanmar's people though who are fed up with its military junta.

Err, FM-90 can target glide bombs and cruise missiles and not just planes.

Myanmar is all over the place at the moment, it's dealing with multiple internal insurgencies which are zapping it, the Myanmar military doesn't even have full control over Myanmar and is struggling and any simultaneous attempt to take on any external state like Bangladesh would be disastrous for Myanmar


Also beyond Arakan their isn't any area of Myanmar that Bangladesh wants or covets , so they don't need to commit any major force to invasion

To get the Rohingya hating Myanmar, (getting the population to hate and be mentally ready for independence, Myanmar already helped with that)

Bangladesh should be preparing, training the Rohingya refugees, it's a ready made army looking for revenge

At the moment Burma doesn't even have great control over Arakan, the Arakan army does and they are fighting against the Burmese Military

If the Rohingya are trained and armed and backed by Bangla the Arakan will be free

Priority should be to defend all critical sites from air attack.

BD government are stupid when it comes to defence.

Drop 2 billion US dollars on a couple of dozen SAM batteries and associated missiles and then MAF threat is much reduced.
