The part of South Asia where I came from was heavily Buddhist until Hindu conquerors forcibly brought back caste and Sanatan. I hate to say this, but in the stark comparison of two civilizations and two different races and peoples, the Pakistanis have been far better to their Hindus than Iranians have been to their Zoroastrian minorities.
