The operation was 80% successful, it reduced terrorism, before we had terrorist attacks all over Pakistan and now they have been reduced to KPK or Balochistan, that too on a reduced level. The failure was making sure development followed the operation, more schools, education to eradicate extremist ideology. Joining tribal areas to KPK was also a good move, to give the same rights to the tribal people as all of Pakistanis.

At the moment we don't have much information on what was done after the operations, did the state build houses for the IDPs? School etc. Not talking about building 20 schools but a proper set up. Usa gave 750M over 5 years, Pakistan government promised millions extra funding a year for 10 years for development. Lastly what happened to the tribal lashkars and anti ttp militants, did we train and fund them further to eradicate ttp and allies.

The main issue is we are not part of the intel reports, the meetings and the decisions. Whatever GOP decides has been made to seem like a sinister plan, or evil at work against Pakistan for their own personal agendas. At times its been true, but not always. Its a long discussion but what would we have done had we been at their place ? We couldn't make it to the top levels. We are just sitting on the forum.

We on PDF just giving our thoughts, what else can we do? I would have used the military operations to destroy all terrorists, then made alliance with the pro peace tribal lashkars and anti ttp militias and used their influence to finish off ttp, then bring on development, schools, roads, hospitals, education to eradicate the ttp ideology. At the moment we don't know what exactly happened to the tribal areas after the operations.
