Strange decision to phase out CN-235s, b ut I guess now SAAB 2000 transports fill same role? Also official confirmation we have the Vera E is incredible news. PAF seems to have developed a very robust air defence network. I mean this combined with 10 Erieyes and the YLC-8Es and all our SAMs seems very heavy. Almost like we are preparing not just to fight India but support China in any war...

These are the decisions taken by Sohail Aman and some even before that. But yes they were continued and increased by the Air Chiefs who came after Sohail Aman sahab.

We love to emphasis individuals and especially ACMs too much. It was the institution and many middle and lower ranking officers working in project teams that stretched beyond the terms of individual chiefs. Yes, chiefs make final decisions but in many ways the decisions are already made and they rubber stamp what tehcnical and evaluation teams have already done. As we know in Pakistan, when you get 4 stars much of your job is politics anyway
 
Leadership matters. If they never encouraged and approved these plans and or had vision to adopt technology this won't have happened. So, credit goes to all the Air Chiefs specially the recent most 5 Air Chiefs.

good video - but difficult to see it all the way through as I got "triggered" when i saw the "COAS" - and had to lay down for a while ..... also why is the video at 480p resolution ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It is 2024 - come on PAF ........
