Well I have been following Deino faily closely on this Forum. And one thing I have learnt which is 100% true is that whatever Deino says, EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF IT HAPPENS.
So I am happy to say that J-35s will be arriving soon just because Deino said they are NOT arriving soon.
MOD is the source of any or all formal disclosures. Nothing gets published there for the reasons I described earlier. I am not talking about chatter, informal disclosures becoming newspaper articles. As a practice, Pakistan is secretive for good logical reasons. We have a neighbor that has a bigger budget and more freedom to acquire capabilities. For Pakistan, it makes more sense when capabilities are kept under wraps officially for as long as possible.Incorrect. I sent actual examples. You can check out, these were published, announced properly. Atleast for navy projects like Babur class corvettes, Type 54As, Hangor class submarines. We had exact timeline known. Even each milestone was announced (means we were aware of the actual progress). Like for every ship, we knew when the ship's steel cutting was done, when kneel laying was done, when it was launched in water and so on. There was absolutely no secrecy or non-disclosure.
When heads of state / PM, previously Arif Alvi then shahbaz sharif used to attend every milestone with full media coverage. If that's not proactive disclosure then what it is? Similarly, in China CNS usually goes for every milestone and that also get media highlight. If purpose is non-disclosure then even a small ceremony with less media coverage is enough and the your foes will know about it. There is nothing such thing as "Proactive disclosure". Either you disclose OR you keep it secret. There's nothing in between.
However, In some cases Pakistan kept it secretive as I explained in my original post. The crux is that is not state's policy applicable on every defense / weapon program. Its case to case basis, depends upon regional circumstances.
In my humble opinion it all matters on china PLAAF and PLAN need and also on production rate. China will want certain numbers for themselves after which they can allow foreign export. now that depends how many minimum china wants especially for PLAAF and how many they are able to produce per year. If they can produce 40 a year and minimum they need are 100 than after 2.5 years they can deliver J35 for foreign airforcesWhat surprised me was alot of PDF experts were claiming J31 and J35s are completely different planes, and J35 will take a long time to get ready for induction and here we are 2025 and its ready. We had 2 main groups on PDF, ones claiming J35/J31 will come by December 2026 or before, another group claiming J35 has a few prototypes and will not be ready for December 2026, never mind paf inducting it, this same group claim paf will get it after 2030s, around 2032, my own estimate was 2032, because we don't need J35 and J10s and Jf17 are enough. Now some people are bringing the deadline back to 2028 lol, that is still so early and those who claim December 2026 are more closer to it since J35 is here and ready to rumble.
I want Pakistan China relation at US-UK or US-Israel level

Funny enough, most people wait for national day parades to see what new platforms etc. have been added.

His exact words as quoted: “the foundation for acquiring the J-31 Stealth Fighter aircraft has already been laid which is all set to become part of the PAF's fleet in the near future.”He said J36 not J35
We are talking about 2 different things, but not worth the back and forth on technicalities.Well, no need to do arguments for the sake of arguments. Its simply is incorrect that Pakistan keep it secretive for every weapon system. Its not called chatter or informal disclosure when your head of state visits other country shipyard for a milestone completion on a ship that whole world knows about. It becomes credible news. Its not chatter of informal disclosure anymore. The whole plan of aquisition is made available by Govt officials. Even the past CNS in interviews to various credible publications have told timelines and plans. Your point is based on a speculation, that Pakistan does it for every weapon system. No it does not.
Example from the most "secretive" silent service / submarine force of Pakistan navy:

This photo is officially released by PN and China for steel cutting (a milestone) in naval vessels development. So purpose is deliberate to keep the nation updated on progress of the weapon project. Its no more "secret" after that. Also its illogical to say that our heads or PM or Chief of naval staffs (all officials of highest order) are particpating in ceremonies, the ceremonies which are getting media highligh in all credible media of world and then you say oh because MOD has not published it, so that means we are keeping it under the rug. No it does not happen like that. Either you keep it secret OR you disclose it. There is nothing higher or credible then heads of states or chief of military.
No need to drag it further when facts are open and in front of everyone. I already explained that in rare cases, Pakistan did tried to keep it under the rug. But not in every case. Thanks!
In my opinion Pakistan being a muslim country can atleast help with GCC. but for that Pakistan itself should be first a stable country. They're already are. The difference is USa UK Israel are not alone, they have America, EU, GCC, Quad as allies so Pak China need to be careful to not cross the big boys. China needs to expand its influence and alliances.
USA has over 600 5th-gen fighters plus NATO+Israel they become almost 900-100 5th-gen. China only has around 350-400-gen they will think to increase these numbers to atleast 500 or more. As they know USA alone wont come against china it will be them combineWhy would China need J35 in minimum numbers before export. They already have J20s, the navy J35 is definitely needed, but we are not sure if different production lines will be started for navy and air.
i was clarifying @iblini comment who said J36 wont be offer in decades or two. The other guy took it as J35. with respect to your above comment J35 is coming pakistan but when that we dont know maybe later somewhere after 2028-29. Meanwhile the foundation is laid means engineers and pilots and other things are already in preparationsHis exact words as quoted: “the foundation for acquiring the J-31 Stealth Fighter aircraft has already been laid which is all set to become part of the PAF's fleet in the near future.”
There was no J-36 back then flying in Chinese skies.
Yea there a couple of self-appointed expert Chinese members, like Michael for example, constantly claiming that J31/J35s were different planes. Even when makers of these planes decided that it was too confusing and decided to name this plane as J-35 basically saying that there was NO Difference between these two, these Chinese members shamelessly still claimed that these were different planes. What surprised me was alot of PDF experts were claiming J31 and J35s are completely different planes, and J35 will take a long time to get ready for induction and here we are 2025 and its ready. Now as far as the delivey of these planes is concerned, I think there is no need to speculate. Lets wait for the next weeks and months, and this will become much clear.
