Rafale M Deal: India and France to Fast-Track Negotiations After Elections

Well they launched one PN Sub last week, Thai one is still being built. You do not seem to grasp basic facts about Hangor subs
You seem to have trouble understanding... the article confirms that the Chinese themselves aren't using their engine and are forcing it onto the Thai and Pakistani navies. Testing in Thai waters would take a long time due to certification and other activities.

Yeah, I can feel all that desperation, hatred, insecurity, and inferiority complex from your talk...

Sure you can, guess when you lose a debate the only thing you can do now is get personal. Go ahead, then Mods can sort you out

You've already lost the debate when you start going off on tangents like that. Bringing up past versus present is totally irrelevant, so arguing with someone like you is just a waste of time.

Scorpene sub is present. Anyway, bored of you, off you go. Cheerio. Thanks for the laughs.

Anyway, I find it irrelevant to debate with someone who's deluded and has no clue what they're talking about. The procurement of Scorpene subs and Rafale M jets is happening at a rapid pace. I've never seen India's defense procurement move this quickly. For instance, the government issued a tender for 97 LCA MK1A jets just before the Lok Sabha elections, a time when governments usually focus on politics. They usually don't prioritize the modernization of the Indian armed forces. That's why I was saying these are significant steps that show the current government is committed to modernizing our forces.

Just two days ago, the government issued tenders for 156 Prachand helicopters. Leaving that aside, take the example of the DAC clearing the procurement of 250+ BrahMos missiles with an 800 km range in early 2023. Within just one year, the contracts were signed. This marks a huge change in our procurement process.

I know there's still red tape in our procurement process, and changing it will take time because we're a democracy. But whatever changes have occurred are due to the proactive policies of this government.

Hey Yasser
Aip addition only allows longer duration submerged
India is literally next door the Aip is not important
Stealth
Sonar
Depth
Range if weapons
Automation efficiency

These things are twenty years newer on the scorpene sub over your previous generation Agosta subs

It's like saying Pak mirage 5=have Aesa radar
So they are superior to the mirage 2000/5 of India

It's the system overall

Now you will tell us it's all.about Aip
Nothing else matters

Well your wrong...

I'm really happy India is buying more french weapons
Rafale with scalp meteore
Scorpene stealth subs with Exocet and mica missiles are expensive but lethal.systems

This post shows very little knowledge of Sub warfare. During crisis subs may need to be submerged and on patrol for long periods. Subs with no AIP have to snorkel during this period as often as very few days, presenting themselves as targets. subs with AIP can stay submerged for weeks. That means a pn sub can stay off the coast of West Bengal for weeks and not have to snorkel. Can you understand this?

Main issues with Scorpene, and maybe a reason IN has chosen not to order more is as follows, and unlike you and other Indian posters, I will post the below with supporting evidence and FACTs.

1) Secrets of this sub have been leaked already

"The leak of more than 22,000 pages exposes secrets about the combat capabilities of Scorpene-class vessels."

2) This sub still has no torpedos, it literally cannot fight other subs

"as the nation’s state-of-the-art Scorpene submarines sit idle without their integral assortment of heavyweight torpedoes."

3) PN assets have forced Scorpene subs to surface on more then one occasion

"According to reports, a Pakistan Navy maritime patrol aircraft observed a submarine on October 16 2021. The accompanying video shows two masts of a submarine. Analysis of the footage suggests that it is a Scorpène class submarine. "

4) No AOP. DRDO AIP will not be in the first Scorpene for 6-7 years

" If the contract is signed by the end of this year, the first AIP-equipped submarine is expected to join the Indian Navy by 2030-31. "

L&T has signed a contract with DRDO for the first Kalvari-class submarine equipped with the AIP system. The article discusses L&T's role in integrating the AIP system into the subsequent three Scorpene-class submarines.

Did you not get the message, are you so desperate for my attention? Maybe high blood pressure?

Some people seem to have comprehension issues. The Kalvari class submarines refer to the first six Scorpene class submarines constructed by MDL in Mumbai. The lead submarine of this class is scheduled to undergo its first major upgrade, which includes fitting the DRDO PAFC AIP system in INS Kalvari. DRDO has signed a contract with L&T for this upgrade, which will subsequently be carried out across the remaining five Kalvari class submarines.
