Are there any plans to power the Hurjet with indigenous engines? The GE engines in use will undercut export potential.

HURJET has 17.600 lbf GE F-404 Engine and no any problem for supply

For now, there is no plan to develop a special engine for HURJET

but TEI said that 2x 10.000 lbf TF-10.000 turbofan Engines can power the twin engined HURJET variant

If there is any problem with HURJET, we will be able to convert it to a twin engined variant and fly it with our own engines


but We need to make a significant design change on HURJET, changing 70% of the design

HURJET was demonstrated as a twin engine in 2017

and together with KAAN in 2028-2030

Turkish UCAV technology also ahead China


Go and develop even high quality E/O targeting Pod first
Pakistan prefered high quality Turkish Aselsan ASELPOD to use on JF-17 Fighter Jet instead of low quality Chinese Pod

Only Western Countries have high quality Targeting Pods
Russia and China not even close

Can you simple stop posting BS and propaganda!??? China built UAVs and UCAVs even more sophisticated ones than the whole Anka and Akinci family years before Turkey even buidt anything flying at all and please stop portraying a prototype "unmanned fighter" namely the KIZILELMA as it it is the "ruler of the sky!"

And what will happen with Kaan and its underpowered F110 engines is also another story, So stop here too portraying is already as superior to the F-22, F-35 and J-20. Let it fly first, let it fly with decent indigenous engines some day in the 2030s and THEN we can talk again!

@hyperman can you please tell this propaganda boot to stay on topic, which is Turkey's fighter projects especially Kaan and not the constant cross posting of UAV/UCAV related stuff.
