Israel admits 8 IDF terrorists liquidated by Hamas in Rafah today as Hamas destroy Namer APC



The deadliest incident since Hamas liquidated 21 IDF terrorists by firing a RPG at two buildings being rigged with explosives in January

Namer is a massive APC/IFV

It’s basically a Merkava tank chassis/body with a APC or IFV (depending on variant) upper body.

Destroying it is significant.

It is being replaced by Eitan however.

This is one field Iran sorely is behind in. APCs and IFVs. Although I won’t complain too much since threat of land invasion of Iranian soil is so low. But eventually we need to address this area of the mechanized force.

I dont know if anyone remembers but when the Gaza land invasion started Hamas hit 3 of these one after the other

after that IDF refused to travel in them and used Merkava

seems like they tried to use it again and found out

Yasin 105 is a two stage rocket , first one penetrates and the second molten warhead releases inside burning everything and anything

if I am not mistaken it was a Russian delegation visiting Hezbollah after 2006 war that gave Hamas the idea of this system consisting of a two stage rocket

1st one also activates the APS while second goes through

they all seem to be intercepted before reaching Israel

they should fire in salvos of 5-10+ for better success

Does Hezbollah have similar capabilites to the Houthi in sea denial capabilities - can they impose a naval blockade on Isarael on the Mediterranean Sea if Israel attacks fully? Would that be a total naval blockade on Israel if they could?

Could this be the references to new unknown weapons that Hezbollah has mentioned ( or have they this capability already and demonstrated it ? )

Yes they probably have the same capabilities, subsonic blue missile also P-800 but in short numbers, Israel was caught off guard in 2006 against a subsonic blue missile (Noor Qader etc missile). After all Iran itself doesn't possess something that has been unveiled that are better or faster than those missiles (in terms of missile projectiles) or P-800 counterpart something like BrahMos/BrahMos 2 for example

So Hezbollah is probably full of blue missiles to launch from the coasts, probably in the thousands of them at least

June 2024: 15 ships targeted, 5 hit (2 abandoned and sinking)

Total: 79 ships targeted, at least 32 hit, 2 sunk (Rubymar, Tutor), and 1 seized (Galaxy Leader)

June has been the most active month of 2024 and we are only mid way through the month. February was the most successful month, with 8/9 ships targeted being successfully hit and 1 of those sinking entirely (Rubymar), June is on track to exceed February.

Hezbollah probably has Noor Qader Abu Mahdi ASCMs but these have proven to be ineffective against modern navy ships

only large numbers of Zoheir/Raad-500 class ASBMs are likely to have success against Israeli ships (and drone boats)

Noor, Kowsar, Qader, Ghadir are all considered as blue missiles derived from C-802

So why they would said Noor instead of Kowsar i have no idea, besides range, very little changes compared to Noor
