Iranian Foreign & Resistance Front Strategy & Operations

Hamas' top leader, Haniyeh, was killed in an Israeli raid shortly after attending the presidential inauguration in Tehran.

Once again, Israel has demonstrated its ability to strike anyone, anywhere in Iran with impunity. President Pezeshkian and Khamenei could have easily been assassinated if Israel had wished. This is why Iran's military and government officials never effectively retaliate; they are too fearful.

I believe that Iran's leadership is gripped by paranoia, suspecting that even Raisi might have been killed by Israel, as they are more than capable of doing so. I am certain that Iran will not respond to this significant terrorist act with any meaningful action.

In the past, Iran's leadership has only engaged in symbolic retaliation that did not cause a single injury, and I expect this pattern to continue.

Lol Israel killed Haniyeh right in the middle of Tehran, Would this be enough for the mullah d$^#k riders to see the mullas for the incompetent clown that they are, Who are only good at destroying this country?

NO. Their 2 digits of IQ and their sexual attachment to the mullas prevents them from realizing this.

You should just chill out and stop interfering in Gaza. You have no borders with ISrael, so intervening to get street creds is just stupid. I support Taiwan but will not want India to be involved in China/ Taiwan war.

Ismail Haniyeh killed in north Tehran at 2am local time

Only a few hours after he met Pezeshkian.

Israel couldn't get him for years when he lived in Qatar or visited Turkey, but the moment he steps foot in Iran, they kill him immediately.

--

Just hours after Israel killed Hezbollah's #2 in Beirut. Israel said they will kill the top leaders of the Axis of Resistance wherever they are, and they are doing it (Deif, Shukr, and Haniyeh - in Gaza, Beirut, and Tehran, all within days). Bagheri and Salami said we will set a new equation with Israel, and they did not. Whose leaders are liars? Our ones, unfortunately.

What an absolute embarrassment. Either IRI goes to war or steps down and lets a new government take control.

--

Early reports indicated that the attack used a missile fired from another country, which is even more embarrassing, but not confirmed and seems doubtful.

An attack by missile in Tehran is likely crossing a red line again, it's likely Israel carried it out using Iraqi airspace.

We are on the precipe of war, depending on how Iran reacts to this.

Iran is pledging to respond

I believe it when I see it. Iranian officials lie about fantasy revenge operations all the time. From Hajizadeh to Bagheri to Salami. The rot is deep.
Your forgetting that the US had a role in this, Israel can't pull off these operations without US assistance

i think it was no missile attack l o l he stayed in a villa in residential area in Zafaraniyeh ( upscale area , the building has many neighboring villas )

there would be hunderds of videos of the building by now lo l , already yesterday night twitter would have been full of people living there reporting "huge explosion" and videos and pics of the fire and so on.

either someone planted a car bomb or it was a direct assassination by somekind of inside traitor.

Episode in hafteye Mr Bean (dolat)

I suspect Iran will do the sensible thing of not doing much. There is nothing much for Iran to gain. They will look at it as failure of a needless policy, make a lot of noise and then over time reduce support for groups that are involved in Israel. There are no material disputes here, only ideological ones.

Any video/photo of the aftermath?

no lo l because there was no "missile attack",

Iranian state TV is now talking about a assassin (likely gunfire)

while former justice minister and presidential candidate (pourmohammadi) blames it on "Traitors within the iranian government" (inside job)

some elements within iranian political scene are claiming the assassination was done by "Inside forces" to sabotage Pezeshkians first day of government, to humiliate him and sabotage his "Peace" approach.

alot of theories going around,

what ever happened , its clear by now it was a Assassination done by someone with access to his security team and residence.

Iran should open the second guerrilla warfare front in Syria or Lebanon with Israel. This will ensure destruction of Israel in two to three years. Fortune favors the bold.

Raesi & FM were most likely assassinated too, Iranian security is bogus and they haven't learned much it seems after so many incidents.

Whether it was a missile fired from an Israeli fighter jet outside of Iranian airspace, or an assassination using explosives, once again the Israelis have demonstrated their ability to violate Iran at will.

If it was a missile fired from an IAF jet, why wasn't this picked up by Iranian air defence? We've been seeing posts by Iranians here about new radars, anti-stealth radars, OTH radars etc and about Iran having one of the best AD networks in the world...clearly not.

If it was an assassination inside Iran by Mossad elements, similar to the quite daring assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist, that raises questions about Iranian intelligence services and counter intelligence capabilities.

Either way you look at it, this is really embarrassing for the Iranians.

The mosque of Qom has raised a Red Flag.

If Iran directly attacks Israel in revenge for Haniyeh assassination, Iran's popularity in the Arab world and among Sunni Muslims will increase.

This time Iran can attack the house of Israeli Defense Minister for example

Any other suggestions of how Iran should respond?
